    What's in your pipe today?

Oooh man, I am going through a big craving for anything with Syrain Latakia at the moment. As to the 'pong' of a Full English... it doesn't offend my wife as much as a cigar might ;)

Well, I joined the ranks of pipe smokers today

Love my pipes, love the complex tastes of pipe tobacco. I went from smoking mainly cigars to now using pipes almost exclusvely. When the weather is warm, I might wander outside with a nice Por Larranaga cigar, but not as often as before. If you take the time to develop your 'pipe palette' as...

    Cool eBay tins

Fourty four pipes? Mate, you would be set for life, as would your neighbours. I make do with two good briars, one meer and 4 cobs.

    A new age

Well, in a land as inhospitable as Russia; who could blame them for wanting to live in the comparitvely luxurious surrounds of space?

Spring means warm weather is starting to show its sweaty hand, and I can once again happily sit outside with a cigar in hand. Or pipe.

    Fake Cuban Cigar Site

Hahah! after all this time away, I come back to see meltdowns happening right left and centre. The cudgel of the FOG is still lined with a velvet of decorum, yet at the same time; the Newbies heads seem more prone to collapse under even the slightest of pressure. The hinges on CP's door must...

Yes, but you cannot then use them for an oral stream of pepper spray to defend agaist cigar theives and rabid wolves like you can the Habanero. A very important bonus feature.

    Water bring out the flavor?

I don't usually feel the burn, so I keep it neat. If I do manage to find myself with an incredibly high proof dram, water begrudgingly hits the amber liquid in tiny droplets.

Explore the smaller vitolas as well, as they can be mighty satisfying when you are short on time. Partagas Habaneros are excellent for the money, and they have a heap of old-school Partagas flavour. Costs you so very little for a box too.

Pipes have killed cigars for me.

There are some blends that use cigar leaf in them, such as McClellands Dominican glory and Fox's Bankers. Give them a try.

Pipes have killed cigars for me.

I am sure there are going to be times when I would like nothing more than a Por Larranaga Montecarlo lazily hanging out my mouth on a scorching hot day, but I have to wonder if when I light up I will be as dissapointed as I was recently. Perhaps a measure of time will equalise this pipe bias...

Pipes have killed cigars for me.

Don't blame me, blame the pipe. Oh, but don't confront the pipe directly, or I fear it will cut a swathe through your midsection whilst politely brusing aside your insults in a genteel manner. Pesky typos

Is music more important to the older generations?

I'm going to crank out a big, fat disaggree on that one there Ray. Band dedication does not equal dedication to music as an entity, nor the importance thereof. Music trancends whatever label we wish to haphazardly stick to it, be it a primal tribal chant energizing the soul to a sophisticated...

    Shaving thread

I am a straight shaver too... when I am not sporting a Beard-o-Fury such as I am at present. Badger and Blade is the only way. Trumper's Violet and some Bay Rhum aftershave... makes for a relaxed morning.
