Saw this 44pc. estate pipe lot listed as a related auction. Will be curious to see how high it goes. I don't have any pipes now, but a lot sale like that would be nice to snatch up, even if none of them are exceptionally special.

Fourty four pipes? Mate, you would be set for life, as would your neighbours. I make do with two good briars, one meer and 4 cobs.

Sometimes you can get lucky but I've seen some that were obviously the leftovers after a buyer picked out anything worthwhile. But you never know. As long as the pictures are clear enough to see what your getting, which is often a problem.
