    Today's Smoke

I finally got the chance to try a La Riqueza tonight. I smoked the No. 1, a lonnie, and was very impressed by the first inch, which exhibited sweet coffee and chocolate flavor. Unfortunately, the rest didn't really do it for me, as the smoke became slightly harsh and a bit on the bland side. :(

    Why ISOM's suck

In my experience, very generally: NC construction > CC construction CC flavor quality to price ratio > NC flavor quality to price ratio Different preferences are a function of different priorities. Simple as that...

Vegas Cubana By Don Pepin Garcia

I have one with the old style, pre-2007 band on it. I wasn't all that excited to try it, but this review has my interest piqued.

    Who here likes vodka

Flawless! I can't understand people who wish to just get lit while not actually enjoying what they are drinking.

I believe the "Linear +" display mode does this. I like it too.

    Who here likes vodka

I approach vodka tasting just like any other tasting, whether wine, cigars, or food. Just concentrate on the aroma (nose), taste (palate), and finish. I wouldn't shoot; I would serve chilled and sip. The key to tasting anything, in my opinion, is holding the wine/smoke/spirit is one's mouth...

    Free Habanos Short Churchills!

Great story! And it's even better that, unlike most "Cuban" "cigar" gifts from those out of the loop, they weren't fake! :0

Purchase Of a Lifetime For me!

Congrats on the haul, Jim! I'm especially impressed not by the rarity of these, as things like a slightly differently shaped Opus don't really get me excited. However, I am impressed by the absolute quality and age of these. Opus Maddies, OR Anejos, all of those Ashtons, etc are not simply...

New Opus x called Love Story

CF has been going nuts over these for quite a while. I know the Fuentes aren't all that revealing with new smokes, but is this a different blend? They seem to me to be a great charity fund raising engine, but are they any different in taste, as compared to any other Opus?
