Bah some folks have a thin skin. I have seen some treatment being much harsher. Honestly with a self policing forum like we have it is up to the "old hands" to give the old Heave ho. If we let every new person police the forums we would end up with a mess.

Larry H is correct they are called spiny lobster aka Rock lobster. I honestly like these better than Maine Lobster. I find the texture of the meat as well as the sweetness of it is more to my taste. Besides the Tails on these things have tons of meat.

There are a few charter boats that do California lobster trips.... I use either my own boat or a friends... mostly friends because his boat has a cabin and frankly it gets cold crossing the catalina channel during the winter in a center consol.

Some Nice Pics. Love those shrimp. Wish we could shrimp down here but the regulations do not really allow it. You can shrimp but with the equipment they let you use you might as well not even bother. Lobster season is about to start there in the next couple of days. Looking forward to the season.
