I think my wife hates you...

Since I joined the forum, I've stopped by the local B&M a few times & have received a couple of packages in the mail... My wife is suspect & blames it all on "you & those damn forums!" lol. In reality, she's fine with my hobby, as long as I stay within our budget & don't smoke around my...

    Shipping Question ...

Everyone here dislikes Thompson, but I had good experiences with them. I too ordered a sampler/humidor combo, as well as a few cheap boxes of cigars. I imagine the spamming would turn off people to their company, but I used them while overseas & had no phone.. Problem solved! Haha The humidor...

    Substitute Torch?

Just an update: The creme brulee torch has been working pretty fantastic do far. In a nice surprise, I also discovered that it does a soft flame as well... Considering it came in a creme brulee package as a wedding gift (that's been sitting in a cabinet for years), I'd say it's a pretty good...

    B's versus Hab's 5er

At least they're not going into Montreal down 2 games. You also have to remember, Montreal had a ton of time off, so they look more energetic, & had yet to lose in the playoffs this postseason. Hopefully the first loss breaks their spirit some!

    Won't be doing THAT again!

I've already made THAT mistake lol... Though I think it was more of a mistake on my wife's part, considering now she's got two of use to bother her nonstop

    Won't be doing THAT again!

So I grabbed a Diesel Hair of the Dog the other day thinking "it can't be that strong, right?". Being new, I figured it'll be as strong as any maduro wrapped cigar I've tried... Holy hell, was I wrong! Definitely shouldn't have done that before shift, it was all I could do to stand up straight...

1st Cigar that blew you away!

Rocky Patel Vintage 1990. I know some don't like them (I'm too new to know why), but I really enjoyed this cigar from a sampler I had. Probably the first box pressed I smoked, & that also greatly impressed me.

    Samplers vs. Fivers

So far, I've enjoyed the Don Pepin Garcia as well as the Oliva "O".. Both were great, but I already made note to consider buying a box of the Oliva's at some point. I've noticed that with your gift plus a few I picked up at a local B&M, my little humidor wouldn't last too long with any big...

    Samplers vs. Fivers

Sorry, I was being sarcastic. It was basically because I've seen a lot of threads started by "I tried to search but...", followed by a hyperlink to another thread :P I don't mind the hunt, that's half the fun!

I'm planning on it, for sure! I was just wondering what everyone else does down the road.

    Samplers vs. Fivers

Just wondering what everyone prefers when trying to find new sticks? Positives for samplers: More variety for the price. Positive for fivers: More than one or two times to determine if you like a smoke, especially if something went wrong with the first... Plus you can rest them & see...

    Thinking about building a humidor...

I know you're probably looking for something a bit nicer, but I just saw a 48 quart cooler on sale for $20 at Cabela's lol. I have a 50 count humidor for now. Once I finally start buying boxes, I'm thinking the coolidor is the way to go!

    Substitute Torch?

So I went to buy a can of butane & try this out... Unfortunately, I got a can of butane made for camping stoves, that's NOT compatible with filling up lighters & such hahaha. Oops! Guess it's back to the store I go tomorrow!

    Substitute Torch?

Newbie Question, you've been warned! When I first started enjoying cigars, I made the mistake of using regular Bic lighters. I've since learned the error of my ways & use matches. Unfortunately, all of my smoking is done outside, so a torch of some sort would probably be helpful. Doing some...

    feral pig tunnelling. Common?

I've always enjoyed the variety of Acid's I've tried, but this thread will definitely play a factor in future purchases! I'm completely impressed with the response, even when the OP was just looking for help from forum members. Customer service is a huge thing to me, from "cottage industry"...

    first "real" cigar experience

    first "real" cigar experience

So, this thread is a few months old, but I figured I'd contribute! I smoked a lot of gas station flavored cigars (grape, apple, etc) while golfing with friends/having bonfire parties. Nothing quality, & I still cringe at the thought lol. While deployed, we had a fire pit right outside of our...
