I think that's what I'll do. I set the hydra to 80% ,only then it actually affect the RH in my wine cooler. The hygros reads 62%-65% ,even with 2 pounds of beads and the hydra... I guess because I set the hydra too high its working all the time so that is why it beeps too often.

I dont have a drainage hole at the bottom,do you mean the one right beneath the cooler fan? ETA: Its funny,I set the hydra to 68%,after a while the hydra reading is 66-68% but the 2 hygros I have inside which I tested them with bovida read 58-59%. I thought the hydra come already calibrated.

I set it up in my 28 wine cooler. Its the smaller one. Its annoying as hell,every 3-5 hours it start to beep to inform me that I need to refill it with water. I thought it suppose to take days or weeks until you need to fill it up again.

In order to know if there's any different in the taste of the cigar,you'll have to know you're smoking a cigar with beetles eggs in it. If you would know it has beetles eggs I doubt that you'll want to smoke it. I believe we all smoked a beetle egg at least once,but didn't know about it.:whistling:

If the RH is 65% I dont see a reason to season the humi,but its always help in the long term. Oh,get a bigger humi ASAP.

Just wondering,do the eggs\beetles come with the cigars I buy or they (the beetles) can come to the cigars from the outside ? I had a few boxes before I got a wine-cooler that were stored in a cooler,the temp was very high,it was 8-10 months period. I checked them and they dont have holes or...

Save yourself the trouble,get a coolidor. Works great and have a lot of space,much more than a regular desktop humidor. Here is a good guide on how to build one.

Just to make sure,I need to plug the port behind the cooler ,right? Just put on it a cork(like a wine bottle has),that will do the trick? The condensation is already routing to a bowl of beads at the bottom. Sorry for the thread jack :blush:

Do you mean the port at the back of the cooler? Where all the water drops into a small tray? I didn't know I need to plug it,how can I do it ?
