    Between The Lines

I love the hemingway line, especially the maduros and have smoked a few BTLs. I found them to be more of a novelity and definately not worth the price. I didn't find the flavor any better either. For me, I'd take the WOAM over it any day. You can find them for sale easily but at $500 - $600...

    Cruzado Cigars

Interesting... I just smoked an Avalito last night after receiving a sampler. It started off like it was going to be a little powerhouse with a bit of spice but after about a half inch, it did a 180, losing all it's spice and I was struggling to get a taste from it. It picked up a bit towards...

    Oliva Serie V Maduro update

 I posted on someone else's review, but I love 'em. So much so that a bought a couple of boxes. Cigar seemed stronger then the regular v line. I'm hoping, after they rest a bit, that the sweetness of the maduro wrapper comes out a little more to balance the spiciness.

    Oliva Serie V Maduro

I had one of these over the weeekend and agree that it's an excellent cigar. Nice full body and spicy with a strong leather taste as well. I expected more of a sweet taste with the maduro wrapper but I really didn't notice much of one. Definatley worth a try, espeically if you like the regular...

    My Aristocrat Mini has Arrived

Having finally outgrown my two desktops in four years and getting the wife's approval while meeting her requirments (no coolers and limited space to put it) I ordered a mini back in February. I ordered the standard one in maple with the digital set & forget humidification. It arrived a couple...

Fake Don Pepin Garcia Cuban Classic 1979?!?

I have some 1950's that I also won from a cigar auction site and it has a similar label to the one you are questioning- brighter red circle and a slight white outline to the letters although not as prominent as yours. I don't have one to compare from a B&M as I'm out of those, but the taste...

R&J 5 Short Churchills, look fake

Thanks for all the education, part of what makes this board so great. Couple of last notes. The embossing is very light on both labels and completley absent on the bottom gold ring on the red label. The Short Churchills label, when I took it off, has a number 50 to the left of Cuba but I'm not...

R&J 5 Short Churchills, look fake

Well, here is what it looks like inside. I've never really opened a cigar before but it looks like mostly long filler but there are so many shades of color in there.

R&J 5 Short Churchills, look fake

I also noticed, and you can see, the gold stamping on the front of the box is way off. The Romeo y Julieta in gold is off the red bannered background and into the image. If you guys are pretty sure these are fakes, I'm going to light one up and then cut it open to see what's inside.

R&J 5 Short Churchills, look fake

My neighbor (again) dropped off some "cuban" cigars in a box as he doesn't smoke and knew I enjoyed cigars. They are R&J Short Churchills (non-tubed) in a box labeld "5 Short Churchills." I don't know if they make them in a 5 pack but these cigars look very suspect to me. I'm no expert but...

    The tale of the Gouger

Damn, my local B&M did something similar (calling and then coming down and getting a different price) and their prices are just as high.
