If it is made with grains and isn't distilled with heat, it is by definition beer. I suppose you could say that this is ice distilled, but there is a long history of ice beers.

Sunlight also breaks up chlorine IIRC, so it helps to make sure it is all gone.

Also, if you have a cooler, that you can use for a few weeks it might help to get them into a larger airspace. Get a cheap humidification device of some kind (it may end up smelling like smoke) and let them sit there for a couple weeks. Open it up every day and let the smelly air change out...

I've found that if you HAVE to leave a smoke to relight later, it helps to blow the smoke out of it. It still won't be the same and it definitely isn't recommended, but it does help a bit. I, for one, never plan on putting something down and relighting it. Just get a smoke that is the right...
