Blind Cigar Review - Pay it Forward #2!

Just as a reminder, here is the link to where you post your review. I'm sure you are on top of it, but just in case you didn't know where the thread is. https://www.cigarpass.com/forum/threads/blind-cigar-review-thread-2.44981/

    Today's Smoke 2017

Make use of the mild weather with another new to me cigar. It was very good, although one had to take care not to heat it up too much. Definitely fiver worthy as the very least.

    Stanford's 90th Leather Travel Humidor

This one-two punch made me just spit up my water. Very awkward thing to do while working a career fair.

    Today's Smoke 2017

On the road but the weather was perfect to sit outside for a cigar. I'm glad I had this one in reserve after unknowingly lighting up a dog rocket that had made into my humidor via some pass or another. Two puffs of the Anthony & Cleopatra and I was done. Not my cup of tea. I'm still baffled how...

    Cigar Books and Publications

Here is a decent list for books. I own the first one. It's a nice introduction on the history of cigars and focuses a lot on Cuba. http://www.cigarinspector.com/cigar-accessories-reviews/top-5-cigar-books

    Cigar Books and Publications

I'm a fan of Cigar Journal. I think it comes out quarterly, but it scratches my occasional itch for dead tree journalism. It's printed in Europe so takes a while to show up though.

Heading to St. Louis ...any cigar shop recommendations?

But the Ritz is reaaaaaallly nice if you are doing this on a corporate dime. And yes, we had a great meal, multiple drinks and a couple of fine cigars. :)

How to season your new humidor - step by step guide

There is still some great info here but with the introduction of Boveda packets, some of the above technics have fallen out of favor. It's just so much easier to throw in a couple of 84% Boveda seasoning packets and a dish of distilled water for a couple of weeks and call it a day.

    Picture missing from posts.

Photoshop and other tools allow you to reduce the size of photos before posting them. But I'll be the first to admit that I'm too lazy to do that and just post whatever the default resolution is on my phone.

    Today's Smoke 2017

I gave one to @golfgar last night. I seem to recall in my drunken haze that he said much the same thing. A little hidden gem. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Edit - Lol. Clearly I'm still hungover because I didn't even see Larry's response before I posted.

    Smoking Jacket?

Because it would be the truth. I have one from Betabrand. It gets borrowed by my better half every so often. In reality I just wear weather appropriate attire 99% of the time.

Heading to St. Louis ...any cigar shop recommendations?

Nice to know cigars aren't dead in Missouri.

Heading to St. Louis ...any cigar shop recommendations?

Work is taking me to Washington University this week, but I'll have some free time to explore any cigar shops in the local area. Anyone have any recommendations? I'll be staying close to the university. Not interested in doing anything touristy as I've done that on prior trips. I figure a good...

Massive ship attack on the coast of California

Nice! Who knew that ships have the tactical ability to blow up mailboxes.

    Today's Smoke 2017

Try the toro or torpedo before the smallest vitola (pc?). The torpedo is one of my favorite cigars, period. Damn expensive though. So it's only an occasional treat.

    Cigar Shop Etiquitte Issues

They have it on a couple of small signs and also on the menu iirc. Love the bar. When I get to go I tend to settle in some time middle afternoon and enjoy the company of the staff. I get a kick out of the angry looking Irish/American guy as well as the woman who takes over for the evening shift...
