    Congratulations high-n-tight!

Well CPers; I've been flat on my A$$.......It's been over 3 weeks since I was actually promoted or "pinned" (or Velcro'd with these new uniforms) and I never updated this post. :0 :0 I could come up with all kinds of excuses about being busy; but I just plain forgot....must be the anxiety...

    Good Morning S / BOTL

Well we are getting down to the wire; less than 2 weeks before we head home. Went to the PX yesterday and split a box of AF Double Chateaus they had with one of the other BOTLs. A 20-ct for $98. A pretty good smoke and I still have some Starbucks Verona coffee. If my calculation is correct I...

    Proper Bathroom Etiquette

In the military we call 'em call LATRINEs, not REST ROOMs....I mean who goes in there to REST anyway?  In BAGHDAD, they're called PORT-A-POTTIES......so no matter when you go, there's someone else's deposit in there making the thing smell very foul. Mix in the smell of...

    What's in your pipe today?

As we get closer to going home our day tasks become inversely proportional to the number of storage containers (20'MILVANs) we've packed up......lending to having more time to light up (cigars and pipes). This afternoon I had a bowl of NIGHTCAP that was sent to us from the great folks at...

    What's in your pipe today?

This morning in my Eagle Meerschaum, I smoked some VERY CHERRY laced with some Black Cavendish to keep the heat down; given to me by LIMA WHISKEY (our Chaplain). Always a good way to start the day in BAGHDAD. Only about 22 more to go......

    Blue Note

You are quite correct......I noticed the difference in "NIGHT CAP". Tried the ALTADIS and then we had some sent to us from a local B&M. Can't wait 'til I get home and try the better grade "BLUE NOTE" as well. Thanks for your comments......very useful.

    At a loss for words......

Yep....and the only thing worse is I have to share living space and work with a Chicago Bears fan.  But the Pack WILL be back.....just not this year. The best part of going to a Packer Game is what happens in the parking lot.....best TAILGATERS in the NFL. :p :p :p

    Chicago burns

There was a bigger fire in Peshtigo Wisconsin on the same day in terms of size. Not too many people know about it. There's even a museum :) The Great Peshtigo Fire of 1871

    Blue Note

I have some BLUE NOTE from an ALTADIS sampler. I find it very enjoyable and it goes good with a cup of Joe. Similar to NIGHT CAP.

    Tasman, you devil!

Just like at the base here, it's better to hear the explosions and know that it's "outgoing" and not "incoming"  Nice Play TAS......

Sad day for the Long Gray Line

Yeah Doc...that one hurt. We here at 589th knew Emily personnaly. A Good Officer with great potential. She'd often visit us on her many trips to our camp. She'll be missed by many. :( :( Another Good Article

    OPFTH (Cigars for the Troops)

Now that OpFTH is NON-Profit 501© Corporation, you could try to get on the list for Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). This is an easy way for Federal Employees to contribute to thousands of charitable organizations via payroll deduction. Just thought I'd mention as the 2006 CFC Campaign just...
