The coffee's on here too, and I'm about to head outside for an AM cigar and to watch the sun peek over the horizon. Think I'll splurge and dig out a Padron #35.... :thumbs:

Off to visit my Mom shortly after that. She lives about two hours south of here, so it's a nice drive down and back. Some time to get caught up on some new music and listen to the news on the drive. Very relaxing, actually.

I guess I am up early enough to post here for once. You guys sure do get up early phew. I must say on my days off I am trying to catch up on sleep from the previous week. I am usually up at four and out the door by five. On the weekends it is around 10-12. Well got some Sbux and planning on cleaning out the office and making plans to turn it into a smoking room. Enjoy the day, I get to cook for my wifes friends tonight, what a blast. So it will be a day of food shopping..... wish me luck
 
Good morning all and hope this week flies by so next weekend gets here quickly. Got a fresh pot of Killer Beans on and I'll probably make some pancakes for breakfast. I too the day of cause I have to drive the wifey to the Newark, NJ Airport at noon. She's going to be visiting our niece whose husband is presently in the desert and one of the soldiers we will be collecting cigars for during the upcoming Veteran's Day Herf at Schlesingers'. Anyway, hope all of you have a super day and get to enjoy it as well..... :) :thumbs: :cool:
 
Morning all and yes, it is quite early this morning. Remember that flight my wife was suppose to catch yesterday, we due to high winds in the NJ area, the rescheduled her flight for 7 this morning. We're about an hour and a half from there and they always want you at the airport 2 hours ahead of your flight time, so we're leavin' in a bit. This will make for one heluva day but I do have a fresh pot of espreso on right now to get me going. I'm planning on going to work when I get back but I have a feeling today will be a short day if I start to feel like crap later on. Hope you all have a good one and smoke em' if you got em'....... :) :thumbs: :cool:

Due to my schedule this week, I'll be stoppin' by Schlesinger's Cigar Bar tonight versus our weekly Thursday night stop. Morning everyone and yes, the coffee is on. There's not much new going on today except for the normal hustle and bustle here at the United States Military Academy, West Point. I'm gonna stop be the Dining Facility (mess hall) this morning for some good Army chow and hopefully the SOS is nice and creamy and the biscuts are fresh. What kind of smoke goes best with a big plate of SOS?

It would have to be something that both killed your tastebuds as well as went with some killer coffee. Perhaps a La Finca or a Free Cuba? Maybe an old Te-Amo?

Good Saturday morning to everyone. It's raining cats and dogs here and the wind is wicked at times but the coffee is on and the storm windows are in. I have to give my congrats to the St. Louis Cardinal for being the 2006 World Champions and also to the Detroit Tigers for making it to the Series. Now I've got to keep focused on the last 4 NASCAR races and hopefully Dale Jr. #8 finishes well. Well we are getting down to the wire; less than 2 weeks before we head home. Went to the PX yesterday and split a box of AF Double Chateaus they had with one of the other BOTLs. A 20-ct for $98. A pretty good smoke and I still have some Starbucks Verona coffee. If my calculation is correct I won't have to resort to Mess Hall Coffee before it's time to leave. :) :)
 
Good morning all and Kelly I know what you mean about that "wonderful" Army Coffee. Even here at West Point not to many of us drink it at the mess hall when we stop in for the occasional breakfast. I've got a pot of Honaunau Coffee "Kona Coffee" on right now that was hand delivered to me by one of the great soldiers that is in the desert now. Good morning all and yes, I slept in a bit this morning. We don't have to be in till 12:00 noon since it's an 8 o'clock kick off against Air Force. Most of the civilians on post will probably get off of work around that time to make room for all the folks to park and tailgate and prevent any traffic problems. They are calling for 28 degrees temps tonight with 6 to 10 miles an hour winds. I'll be up in the tower but I know the fans will be a bit chilly. Good morning everyone and yes, the joe is on. Well, last night's game was a blow out in the Air Forces' favorite. I think the final score was like 43 to 7, simply terrible and now we have Notre Dame to look foward too. Oh well, at least we got to smoke a couple of great cigars before the game and we had plenty of heat up in the command tower since it was like 26 degrees outside. Oh well, you all have a super Saturday and smoke em' up........ :) :thumbs: :cool:
