The great Fyodor blind taste test!

Cigar no. 10 Prelight aroma revealed some pleasant barnyard-esque qualities. After Lighting it I was hit with a raw full bodied woody flavor which I wasn't really appreciating and was a complete shock to my palate. I thought to myself, I'm not going to like this one at all. Well luckily...

    For all you Coffee Lovers

I used to eat those things all the time(not that brand) when I lived in Indiana. I would get them out of a gumball machine type thing at the grocery store. I loved them and completely forgot all about them, thanks for reminding me.

The great Fyodor blind taste test!

Funny as hell for you guys and terribly confusing for me. ???

How much of your cigar do you smoke?

I agree with most, the cigar lets you know. I usually go a little past the band. I rarely get out toothpicks or anything like that, just usually doesn't seem necessary or enjoyable.

    First Timer....

I've been really impressed with how the 06's are smoking. I think something may have changed over there because they seem to be better young than they used to be. I'm no expert though and my experience is limitted so take that with a grain of salt. I recommend buying a box, smoking about five...

The great Fyodor blind taste test!

OMG! Moki, you really shouldn't have. My goodness! Well thank you for including it. I would never have thought it possible. This would have really been the end of me if I would have given it a bad rating. I owe you big time. sincerely -mark

    So, I'm in Canada...

I suggest you go ahead and spend too much on a Cuban cigar. The prices suck but there is nothing like browsing a humidor at a shop for a Cuban cigar. At least for an American...

The great Fyodor blind taste test!

Cigar no. 9 This cigar was quite good, thank god, I really didn't want to post another negative review, it makes me feel guilty. The prelight aroma was very nice and typical of a Cuban cigar. It started off Cedary with slight cocoa and cream notes. It then developed a nice tea flavor...

The great Fyodor blind taste test!

You know I don't feel the least bit bad about this one. I knew the cigar was going to be something supposedly great as they all have been thus far but I just think this was a poor cigar. I have liked the Cohiba siglo line in the past but I have never really thought they were worth the extra...

    Books revisited

Nice list, I also loved 100 Years of Solitude. Have you read Love in the Time of Cholera? If you like Gabriel Garcia Marquez you should give Jorge Borges a try as well, if you haven't already. I recomend Ficciones. Awesome! -mark

The great Fyodor blind taste test!

Cigar no. 8 Prelight aroma was very faint and a little bit odd, and taste wise I couldn't really register anything. After it was lit the cigar was a little bit harsh and had mostly straight forward tobacco flavors. It had a faint wood flavor with a bit of a metallic taste. Also had a...

What is your favorite Domestic Macro-beer?

Old Style in a can. Seriously. If you are going to drink piss beer why spend more than you need to. Plus it's sentimental for me.

The great Fyodor blind taste test!

Wow, I actually liked the couple Blue labels I had in the past, I was even the first to review it on Cigar Pass. And yeah, the wrapper was coming off but didn't cause too much of a problem. Once again I am shocked! -mark edited beacause I actually have had this vitola which I stated I didn't.

Need help on first purchase (are these real)

I agree Wurm, and it's also very unoriginal. As is saying "send them to me for inspection". But what are you gonna do. Some jokes never get old with some people and I guess that's o.k. :whistling:

    Callin' Pete out !

Thanks for the info Pete, sounds exciting. It didn't really take him that long to reply, not everyone lives at their computer, nor should they.

The great Fyodor blind taste test!

Cigar no. 7 On the prelight this cigar had a nice semi-sweet aroma and some spice on the draw. After lit the peppery spice quickly gave way to an almond and walnut nuttiness and burnt wood. After an inch or so it started getting slightly bitter and developed some grassy notes. It was...

What cigar have you lost a taste for?

I used to smoke a lot of AVO's. I still think they are o.k. but I've burnt myself out on them. And I got sick of CAO's a long time ago.

The great Fyodor blind taste test!

That Black label was just a fluke. I should have smoked more of it too. That being said this cigar seems way different to me. I have always loved Pepin/Tatuaje cigars and I'm not surprised they are scoring the highest for me.

    Oh man, that last third!

I really like these two suggestions. It sounds like you should go for full bodied cigars.
