I tend to agree about the ring guage. That, combined with the goofy names makes me think they they spent more on marketing than blending. I had one a while back, and it was nothing to write home about.

Sure, as long as your house doesn't stay really warm. Keep them in the darkest, coolest spot you can find. Unlike wine, store them upright.

I haven't been blown away by any of them myself, but the handfull I have smoked have been pretty fresh. I've got a #4 of undetermined age (I've had it for about 6 months) that's getting torched tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. :)

I'll need to see some more shots before I can form an opinion.

I've heard Bucanero makes some decent smokes. I've never heard of any of the others!
