    Endangered my Family!

My familiy was victim to a sneak attack. My residence was attacked while I was away on business.....a fact I hardly consider coincedence. Thankfully the wife and child were spared.....suffice to say I'm pleased we chose a brick home. Intel indicates that the strike was perpetrated by a fellow...

    Mombacho?

So, I gather that they're decent smokes, but nothing to write home about, eh? Thanks all!

    What did you smoke today

Had a Camacho Negro toro earlier. The longer these sit, the better they get (about 4 mos, in this case). I'm getting toward the end of my first box, and it will be replaced. I'm finishing up with a Padron 1926 maduro. The little one......#35? It's only my second, and just like my first, it is...

    Fonseca Cubano Limitado (Belicoso)

Funny, I recieved one of these a while back, and sparked it up last night. I went searching for reviews, but didn't come up with much. It started out well.....nice flavor, really tight ash. Unfortunately I had to snub it early, and was disappointed because it was better than I expected it to...

    Move Complete!

Now I, too, am OK with calling you Wyatt! Congrats on the move (moving sucks hard), and best of luck with the transition. I've gotten myself "over the hump", so it's only 7 short years until I do the same. I'd also like to say a sincere thank you to your wife and family for their...

My favorite cigar band and why.

For a "classy" band, I like......what else? The Padilla Miami band. I like both the red and brown Tatuaje bands for their simplicity. And for simplicity at its finest, the Camacho "Diploma" band.....if you can even call it that.

    Who is a Home Brewer

That's a helluva lot nicer than the kit I started with! Very nice. That's the same draft tower I have....it does the job!

    Mombacho?

I've surmised they they're full-bodied Nicaraguan puros (hence my interest) made by Tropical. I can't find much info on them. Anyone try them, and if so, are they any good?

    DON CARLOS EDICION de ANIVERSARIO

Yes....yes I would. Addy in profile. :D I've never gotten too wound up about the high dollar Fuentes, but just looking at the wrapper on that thing makes me want to drop the coin on one just to admire. Damn tasty looking cigar.

    PADILLA SIGNATURE 1932

That's quite an endorsement of the 8&11's, considering the price difference! Been looking to get my grubby hands on one of the 1932's, but haven't pulled the trigger due to the price. I look forward to the reviews!

The idiot politicians are at it again...

That's retarded. Is it me, or does the liberal use of the trademark "iPod" seem inappropriate in this context? I'm no Apple fan, but if I were Steve Jobs, I'd be a little pissed.

    What did you smoke today

Finishing up a tri-pressed Trilogy "Authentic Corojo". Surprisingly good smoke, and well priced....I have another, just a normal parejo. If it's as good, this one might become a staple. I had a "Pryme" robusto last night. Long story short, it was not good.

More "Cuban" BS From Lew R.

A better one than Thompson's, from what I've seen and heard. Their ad copy reads like those catalogs with the fake doggy-do and x-ray glasses I used to get when I was a kid. Plus, JR's has good prices on Sancho Panzas and Antanos. :)

Any One Want a Free Car

I wasn't around back then, but that seems like some odd stuff to include in a time capsule. My dad remembers when they buried it. I don't think he submitted a guess, though.

    Do you smoke indoors?

We have a sunroom on the back of our house. Basically a large room enclosed all the way around by sliding glass doors. I started smoking out here while my wife was away. As the saying goes, I figured it was easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. :) I bought one of those ionic...

    What's your Superbowl drink III

Not the Extra. I've had the regular D'Etre (or whatever it's called). What's funny is a buddy of mine got a bad bottle. It had soured.....and it was excellent! He was convinced that's the way it was supposed to be, and I couldn't tell him any different. Needless to say he was disappointed the...

    What's your Superbowl drink III

That's pretty much my impression of all DFH beers. They're fundamentally sound and high quality, but they just don't ferment them down as far as I think they should. I used to love 90 Minute, but can't stand that sweetness anymore. But, it's just like wine, cigars, etc.....we all have our...

    What's your Superbowl drink III

I'm interested to hear what you think of the Golden Shower. I was greatly disappointed in it. To me, a Pilsner should be dry. Of course an Imperial will be hoppier and stronger, But DFH's rendition had a residual sweetness to it that didn't fit the style, and frankly didn't even taste good.
