    beverage recommendation

Henry's rootbeer is indeed very good. My only gripe is the amount of sugar. Yikes! 47 grams per serving. Never-the-less, I have one w/ lunch at my favorite local deli often. Just something about a heaping NY style deli sandwich and a good rootbeer that takes me back. On the flip side, I...

    I wish

Teach your children well and you won't have to worry about what they think of these types of things. IMHO, raising a child is a race. You're racing against pop culture. They are trying to influence your child and you should be trying to beat them to the punch. I know I won't win every...

    Graycliff Espresso President

This is my favorite cigar to date. I've been smoking casually for a few years, and more seriously for about six months. Tthis thing takes the cake. It's tastier than any Cohiba I've had, more interesting than any old stick I've experienced, and just downright impressive. This is not to...

Damn it man! I'll write my own review. No sense in piggybacking on yours ;)

    Fireworks

Cool little piece of info. from the Times from about a week ago. Apparently the powers that be have raised the legal limit of pyrotechnics allowed in over-the-counter fireworks. Ironically enough, I was wondering why things were looking so much brighter and impressive up at the parent-in-laws...

    Bone Shine Review

Just back from vacation. Glad you enjoyed the experience other1. I think moonshine has gotten a bad reputation due to wives tails. When made correctly it can rival some of the finer whiskey and burbon on the market, provided it is well aged in a charred oak barrell (which mine isn't, yet)...

The best damn tequila in the US

This actually wasn't my experiment. A friend did it. Your correct though. Crap turns to aged crap. He used four different types of 100% agave silver. I'll have to check on the brands. Good stuff though. Nothing cheap, hence my decision to make my own :)

    WOW what a cigar!

First, a huge thanks . The cigar was wonderful, but the company was far more valuable. Second, this is not a cigar that you justify the purchase of. It's something you buy as an extravagent treat to yourself and to those who are fortunate enough to keep your company. I can't say the...

    New to CP

Welcome. Do I even want to ask about that screen name of yours? :sign: I've dealt w/ the brown devil once or twice when I haven't gotten enough fiber in the diet.

Yepper. I use distilled water, w/ a little citric acid to get the PH right. I'll give the brown sugar a go next round. May add a little more body. For the most part though, I've found that the malt kicker takes care of that.

I gave the old corn recipe a shot but it just didn't taste that great. Tried the Molasses recipe and that wasn't too good either. The one below had a really nice body to it and produced the best flavored end product. $4 - 1 gallon of apple juice $5 - 10 lbs. of sugar $7 - 1 can of dark malt...

So fill me in. What happend to the chick that had Shawn's kid (or what he thought was his kid)? I haven't been watching faithfully.

LMAO :sign: Good problem solving w/ that flip to back followed by cane drag. Well though out.

Well, she's redistilled, half canned up, and sitting comfortably in my garage. Cut the proof from 170 to 140 for drinkability and put five Ranier cherries in each bottle for a little flavor. Once I get back from NY I'll can the rest of it and bomb a couple of folks who showed interest. I'll...

    Oak's mystery smoke #2

Looks like a belicoso to me. Nice construction w/ a leathery wrapper. Quite the full-bodied cigar w/ a kick and some good spice. Very leathery throughout. No particular change in flavor or strength at any point. Just strong followed by strong w/ just a hint of strong. I'd say it's a BBF...

    Graycliff Crystal

They are good...but not $25 good. This is a large part of what has pushed me toward the dark side. At least I can buy my illegal cigars cheap...even though they are still illegal :)

Appreciate the offer Joe. Maybe I'll take you up on it when I get back into town. The interesting thing w/ the methanol (bad stuff at the start of the distillation) is that there's no doubt it's bad. It stinks to all ends of the earth and is definitely not something one would have any...
