    Torano select reserve

This week has been pretty bad so I took a break and had a Torano Select Reserve Robusto this evening. This one wasnt as mellow as the ones I had in the past. I've got a Padron delicas sitting here for tomorrow it will be my last before classes start again on Thursday. :(

    Lighters

Its not a zippo conversion, it is another lighter. From what I have heard from others the insides are supposed to fit into the full size zippo housings. The link that was posted is the correct product. I can not find the link I had, it showed all the different woods and metals it was available...

    Lighters

there is a zippo type butane lighter called the thunderbird, i believe. The insides of it can be put in a zippo housing iirc. This may be a remedy for those who like their zippos but not the fuel taste it gives the cigars.

    Lighters

I like the colibri elite series rollbar flint butane lighter with the twin flame. i have picked them up on ebay for $25. Retail price is about 60. Colibri torch lighters seem to have problems after a while but the flame lighters tend to hold up better. They have a punch built into the bottom too.

Forbidden X Opus X Robusto Maduro

I didn't know the forbidden x line was a special thing. Are the regular Opus X available in Maduro?

Forbidden X Opus X Robusto Maduro

This is one I have been wanting to try. Are they a limited production item? I have never seen any Opus X in the shops I go to. I'm going to try a couple places in the city next week.

    Worst cuban cigars?

Ok, well I went tonight and looked at the Cigar Menu. I think they may have changed the format because it didn't look exactly as I remember. Under the cigar name it has the country for filler and wrapper. It had the usual dom. nic. hond. etc. But then it had two montecristo's Montecristo No...

    General Cigar loses Cohiba Tademark

And on www.generalcigar.com when you select Cohiba it only shows the Red Dot lines. I would see a market for fake domestics as well. Since the name is so well known. The unlearned would buy just because it says Cohiba thinking they have bought a top quality product.

    General Cigar loses Cohiba Tademark

The only Cohibas that general's website shows are the Red Dot cigars. When were the yellow band(non isom) Cohibas made? A local store has a bunch of them and I was wondering if they were real or just old.

    Carlos Torano Reserva Selecta

Had one of these tonight in the Churchill size. My new favorite mild cigar. Was great with a Latte. Started out rather bland, a bit nutty. After about a quarter way through it started getting really creamy and woody. At the half way mark it became somewhat spicy but still mild and creamy...

    Pre embargo ISOM's from 1911

Yeah, its called Cafe Havana. I have never been there in person. I was just reading about the old cubans in an article I found. It is on my list of places to go soon. Lately I have not had the time to really do anything but get on here a few minutes every day or so. I have been to Dos Jeffes...

    Pre embargo ISOM's from 1911

I was just reading an article from '99 about cigar shops here in N.O. It mentions one shop in the quarter that has pre-embargo cigars that date back to 1911. Assuming these were properly stored would they still be any good? Would the tobacco hold up that long? Did people use humidors back that...

    Worst cuban cigars?

They may be pre-embargo. As I remember they were expensive. This place is about 20-25 a piece for nic. Padron's. I have never bought cigars there but always check out the selection.

    Worst cuban cigars?

I thought I saw it. I'll be there on the 6th. If it says they have cubans I'll be sure to take a pic. LOL sorry for taking the thread off topic.

    Worst cuban cigars?

I am in New Orleans. The Ritz-Carlton here has a cigar bar with a cigar menu. It lists their cigars by country. It has the usual nic, dom, hon, and then to my surprise at the end it said Cuba. I think there were at least 2 cigars under that. It has been at least a few months since I have looked...

    Worst cuban cigars?

I have not had the chance to try any isom's yet. However, a local hotel I go to has a cigar bar and last time I was there I spotted a few cubans on the Cigar Menu. I don't recall what brand they are I will be there in a week and will check it out. I am curious to see if it is pre-embargo or just...

What type of cutter and why?

I have been using a guillotine for a couple of years now. I still can't cut it right. LOL I always end up cutting it just enough so the wrapper will start coming off. I just bought a Xikar as my cheap single blade cutters have become dull. I have a punch on my new lighter so I am going to try it...
