I have had them and try to always keep a few on hand. they are a nice smoke. nice flavor to them. they are currently one of my favorites. i get hints of cedar and a realy light mellow sweetness from them. but your palate may be diffrent then mine.

i'm also in Michigan, southwest.

hmm a half pound should be more then enough for what i'm goign to do. I'm thinking well cleaned baby food jars or a simular small jar with a wide mouth with the lid cut out just leaving a wring then cover the top with screen.
