Great puts and takes! I have about a 1/2 pound of McClelland #2015 which is the same as Southport which I did not know. It is realllllly good. Powerful stuff and really tasty. :D I'm off to pad lock my mailbox.

No problem. Like I said, they were a couple of the earlier tins I bought but moved away from them when I ventured more towards the English & VaPer blends.

I hope this stays away from me for the next week or so, at least until this cold passes so I can fully enjoy the smell from this box. :(

I learned that they have been in business since 1870 in Boston and in their current store since the early 1930's. I didn't realize they made pipes as well. I don't know who the carver is but it seems they have a ton of them in the store as well as a LOT of tobacco. I may make a trip down there...

So I just discovered that L.J. Peretti Tobacconist is less than 40 min from my house. I have never tried any of their blends or heard much of their pipes but I am curious as to anyone else's experience with them. -Adam

Enjoy the pipe! Most importantly TAKE YOUR TIME! Do not be discouraged if your first experience is less than what you had expected it to be. Pipe smoking is somewhat of an art form and no one paints the Mona Lisa their first time at the canvas. There are sooooo many tobaccos to choose from that...
