What's your latest Pipe and tobacco purchase?

Bought a nice meerschaum this past weekend. It's beautiful and simple...egg shaped bowl with minor decorative details carved in it, with a curved stem. I smoked only twice so far but it was a cool smoke. The only thing that offended me after the first smoke was the tar smell that was drawn into...

    Tobacco Ratings/Tasting notes...

I get more enjoyment out of that each time I read it. It's added a whole new light to my enjoyment of tobacco/scotch & whiskey/wine. :D

    Tobacco Ratings/Tasting notes...

I recently read an entry from The Scotch Blog that I think many of you will enjoy. Scotch Blog: Have Ratings/Tasting Gone to Far? As I read this I began applying it to my job at a local wine bar, Unwine'd. I often go through each day hearing the latest wine reviews and listening to "wine...

    Tom's Private Reserve

Ahhh, interesting. I did not realize that. I had no idea there was a no tobacco policy on there. Still, I find it hard to justify spending more than $12 for a tin of tobacco never-mind $300.

    Tom's Private Reserve

It's funny, the seller even states: 1. - The value of the item is in the collectible packaging, not in the tobacco itself. 2. - The listing description states that the tobacco package has not been opened, and the tobacco is not for consumption. So the value is not even because of the...

What's your latest Pipe and tobacco purchase?

Just bought a tin of Peterson Connoisseurs Choice. I heard it is a mild aromatic but pretty flavorful. Has pretty good reviews on TR.com I'm sticking to my aromatics for the time being until I work my way up to the harder stuff! I'll probably fire up a bowl of this after work tonight and see how...

What's your latest Pipe and tobacco purchase?

Bought myself a Missouri Meerschaum (Legend I believe, with the bent stem) the other day. Smoked very well last night. Somewhat of a strange taste to it, but I am assuming it was because it was the first bowl. Had some Butternut Burley in there. I like how light the pipe is and the smaller...

    JUNE TOTM- BUTTERNUT BURLEY

I actually enjoyed two bowls of this last night. The first was in a Missouri Meerschaum corn cob I bought just to have on hand. I packed it using the Frank Method (which I absolutely swear by now, I didn't have to re-light even once!). It had a pleasant taste and a smoked very cool with no...

Is Penznance back in stock? I really gotta try some of that. From what everyone says on here, it is fantastic.

    JUNE TOTM- BUTTERNUT BURLEY

I just got my order in last night! 8 oz of Butternut Burley bulk. I didn't get home from work until around 1:30 so I was too exhausted to light up a bowl, but possibly if I get out early tonight I will. These 15 hour work days are really taking away from my smoking pleasure!

What do you drink while smoking?

Nice! Great responses! The Balvenie Double Wood sounds fantastic! The are rave reviews of that online. I may just have to invest in some! I also like the thought of milk with some hazelnut creamer added. Sounds like a nice complement.

What do you drink while smoking?

Just out of curiosity I'd like to know what people enjoy (if anything) while relaxing and smoking. Last night I opened a bottle of Sandeman Founders Reserve Port and smoked a nice aromatic blend. It seemed to compliment the tobacco quite well as it is meant to be paired with either smokey...

    JUNE TOTM- BUTTERNUT BURLEY

Just ordered some of this to try. Looking forward to posting up a review! Looking for a nice smooth aromatic to enjoy for the summer that is pleasing for those around me as well, so I have high hopes for this.

    What's in your pipe today?

Right now enjoying a bowl of shop only vanilla cream aromatic. Delicious cool smoke and the aroma is very pleasant. Still breaking in this Savinelli Antique Shell briar. Still somewhat bitter but I'm working hard to break it in. Very new to this hobby but I love it!!!

What's your latest Pipe and tobacco purchase?

Hello all! This is my first post! I'm new to pipe smoking this year so bear with me! My most recent purchase is a tin of Stanwell Melange. My local shop had a sample of it on display in a mason jar and simply based off the aroma and the tin description I decided to pick it up. I have smoked...
