Advice for buying my first humidor

Thanks for the advice guys. I don't have a problem with the plastic smell. I took out the flower foam out and now the RH has stabilised to 66%, (61% is the actuall reading from my hygrometer) which is what i want. Apparently the humidity from cigars is enough. If i put the foam back in the RH...

Advice for buying my first humidor

What amazes me about my new home made humidor is how little water is needed. The plastic container has a volume of 4 liters, i used something like 8 ml of distilled water and that was too much - the hygrometer was reading 65-66% (which is more than 70% because is reading 5% less on wet salt...

I just want to keep the cigars in decent conditions for one or two months maximum until i get a decent humidor. What else can i use instead of tissues? maybe a sponge ? By the...

Advice for buying my first humidor

Hello guys, I just started to smoke cigars, and after reading the informations available on the internet i come to the conclusion that first i have to buy a decent humidor and only after i can "invest" in some more expensive cigars, because if i buy the ciras without a good humidor i will only...
