After my 3 rounds of Ediciion Limitadas tonight, the winner for me was The H Upmann Mag 56. Great great smoke and the smoothest of the bunch for me tonight. It wasnt even close. What a wonderful blend for my palette.
Been waiting for the Canelo fight and the BMF fight between Diaz and Masvidal for a long time!
Thought I go with the R&J Edicion Limitada 2018!
Full House at the joint tonight!
Well being that Im new, im still gathering my sources. Also, my humidor is mid shipment as we speak and I guess i was in a rush to get some good quality aged sticks straight away. Going forward, Reubens Casa de Habanos will be ageing boxes! 👍 :)
Im not sure if there still a budget stick at around 16 bucks a pop for aged Juan Lopez. When you get really good sticks though, you kind a dont mind spending the money.
Im not talking about a dress box. Im refering more to some of the more limited edition habanos, or reserva type offerings where the highly laquered box comes in a faux felt, and then this goes into a thinner cardboard box with stickers
I picked up a cabinet of 2013 Juan Lopez #2 on a tip from a buddy who lives in the Great White North. Then I read about the 94 rating Cigar Aficianado gave a box of 2015 Juan Lopez #2. I thought I would take a chance on the 2013 box, since 2013 seems to be a very decent year on most brands...
To add another newb question...
How about the finer boxes that come in cardboard box. The outer cardboard box has the habanos sticker and the cuban govt label. Id like to save that, but do you guys put the fancy box with the cardboard box into the humidor? or just the finely laquered box...
