I saw that thread before i posted and it didnt answer my specific question about cutting the cigar, so I made my own post.

Could you, instead of letting the cigar go out on its own, use a cutter and cut the cigar off just behind the cherry? Would that help any if you wanted to smoke the rest of the cigar later?

I'm also going to try some 65% beads instead of the 70%. It does seem like my sticks burn too slow, but they always burn even.

I may soaked the beads too much. I didnt have a spray bottle so I had to pour the distilled water out of the jug onto the tube.

I have 70% beads in my humi. My humi is kept in a cool dry place and maintains an inside temp of 70 degrees. I also have a digital hydrometer which i calibrated twice, but the hydrometer is reading 72%. Is that extra 2% going to make a difference? Should I try 65% beads and see if it goes to...
