    MrJerry popped my cherry

Next step is to get rid of that $10 "herb" grinder and get yourself a real one :D My employees joke that if they ever cut me open all they will find will be cigars and coffee - Enjoy it all. Ron

    Covering humidifier

I don't know what your humidor looks like - but can you fasten/afix the humidifier to the lid? Both of my Diamond Crowns have a metal plate in the lid (you can't see it) - so a humidifier with a magnet will attach. Other options would be magnetic strips and/or velcro. Ron

    Attention on Deck

My Dad served for 28 years in the Navy - so you could imagine he was not to thrilled when I went Army. But in any case - I'll smoke one for him on that day as he can't anymore. Ron

Anyone ever added Acetone to your tank?

I've heard of it - every single Diesel board that I have been on has discussed it. And I know of one guy who tried it. "0" increase in mileage. There was however a small increase in power - at first. This is most likely due to the fact that acetone is a cleaner, so if you have dirty...

    Seasoning

Remove the water - add cigars - do not re-charge the puck. Leave it alone for a few days then check it. Ron

    Hamilton House

It looks like it may be a brand for him - never heard of it before. As I order from both CI and Famous a few times - it must have come from one of them in a sampler of some sort. It's just one of them cigars that you go "huh" after a few puffs - when not expecting much from it. Ron

    Seasoning

The digital should be close enough for now. Ignore the hygrometer that came with the box - it's just for show. Also do a search for the salt test - you could use it to get it closer and to see how far off your digital is. As for the levels in the box - wipe it down, add a glass of distilled...

I have been known to relight cigars

I've been known to re-lite a few - but I always cut away as much of the end as possible before putting it away - Guess I just haven't dropped down to your level just yet - Ron

    Hamilton House

Late last night I was sitting back watching a little TV and decided to grab a smoke before bed. Looking through one of my boxes I see this cute little cigar - but could not read the label - decided to smoke it anyway. Don’t remember when or where I got it – positive though it came with some...

    Mold or Plume?

I just had one of these a few nights ago - and I just checked the ones I have left. Nothing like yours - but they do have a slight white-ish tint to them. Seemed fine and smoked fine to me. Ron

I need a humidor! But have a couple questions..

Just a quick note - I am going to PM you later tonight. But - I think each humidor is different in the amount of time it takes. Some can be very fast. Both of my Diamond Crown boxes only took a few days before they held. The larger glass top took damn near two weeks. As for the cigars you...

I need a humidor! But have a couple questions..

Hey Welcome! I'm a newbie here myself - but not to smoking - 30+ years :0 On humidors - I'd go a little larger if you can. I have never seen one hold the amount that they say they will - so a 40 count may get you 25 to 30 depending on size of course. Keep in mind that you don't actually...

    Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Well add to that - we only knew each other for three months before we got married. I consider myself lucky to have found someone who puts up with me - my diesel trucks and of course the cigars. Hope everyone in this thread has the same luck! Thanks for the comments on the humidor :) Ron
