Rocky Patel CI Fuma. Nasty, dark, skinny, little stick. It tasted like salt. Even after a year in the humi it was terrible. I don't know why I do not throw them in the trash.
I have purchased several five packs of their different perfectos from CigarBid. They were pretty good sticks and most of the time you can get them for about $5.00 each. Royal Brigade and Legend were two of them.
I have tried drinking a coke or other beverage with sugar in it and that did not help. I have taken a teaspoon or two of sugar and it worked. It is not an instant cure, but it works pretty fast.
I may have tablespoons on stand-by when I smoke my Lx2.
On my last trip to Chicago I visited Iwan Ries, Hubbard Street Cigars, and Jack Schartz. They were all nice, but I have to say my favorite was Jack Schwartz. Eric there made our visit very special and worth it all. Visit all of them if you can, but make an effort to get to Jack Schwartz.
I bought a CAO America Sampler and received a three pack of the CAO America Bottle Rockets. These sticks are beautiful and look delicious. I really hated to light the thing it was so good looking. Wish I had not now. The Bottle Rockets are 7x50 barber pole wrappers. I clipped the end and the...
I bought two mk at Jack Schwartz in Chicago last year on a business trip. I smoked one of them while in my favorite place in America, Door County Wisconsin. It was great. Wonderful flavor in a small stick. If I could afford more of them I would buy them. I still have one left and plan on smoking...
Good write up iron. Speaking of the 1968 I saw one last week at my local B&M for $15.00. I laughed, I still have one from the internet offer and when it's gone that is it.
I use both. It just depends on the stick and the draw. If I punch and the draw is bad then I will cut it. I keep a punch on my key ring for travel and one on my fishing vest for when I am fishing.
I have had my 46 for over a year, so it (it being one stick) must be from 2007. I have checked it a few times and it has been fine. I hope when I check it today it has a little mold on it. That way I will have an excuse to smoke it. Then I will have an excuse to find some more Anejo for the humidor.
Great review. I bought one of these last week from my local B&M. His exact words were "you want to smoke this in the evening and sitting down." I can not wait. I am going to wait until it warms up some so I can relax and enjoy it.
I have two Wal-Mart meters. One tested 73% and the other 72% in a 24 hr salt test. Testing is the way to go no matter what you buy. You never know what you will end up with. Better safe than sorry.
