If your deck has a wireless remote, any IR repeater should work. You can take apart the plastic chassis and just have the eye somewhere that is in sight of your remote. Another option is a smart phone with Pandora. You can use your audio output to go to an RCA adapter. You can also do the same...
You can get an IR repeater. That way you can use the wireless remote that the deck came with and use any brand deck you want. If you want video out, use the monitor output from a dvd deck. If you like, give me a call at 520-624-2000. I own Audio 2000, we've recieved 7 installer of the year...
Due to the economy here in Tucson, I've had to put it on the back burner. When I started the project I had 4 employees and extra time. Now it's just me and an assistant. I do the fabrication and he does wirning and automation. Once I get this big project off my plate I have here I'll be back on...
If you do have a custom built humi done, be sure the builder has a good understanding of wood movement. What may be beautiful on day one, can be a twisted mess a year from now. I'm doing mostly wood turning these days. Only one humi this past year. Have to go with the flo. Good luck though.
Congratulations Mark and the same to everyone. Looks like it was once again, an incredible event. Charlie, you are one helluva guy. My hat's off to you for all your effort. Looks like it was a fantastic time for everyone. Please be sure to let me know the date for the next one. I'll crank up the...
Hope everyone is having a blast. I'll smoke a couple great cigars this weekend and dream of the day I can join you guys. Have the winner of the ashtray contact me for care details. I didn't have time to put a letter in with it plus it might have stuct to the finish. LMAO. (That is if Rob doesn't...
If you want to get your own Bubinga veneer, check out www.veneersupplies.com. Maybe you could apply it yourself. I'll be glad to walk you through the process. Be careful though, Joe's site is another vortex. He's got tons of info for the do it yourselfer.
I'm glad everyone likes it. I wish I could have done more. If I can ever get things turned around here and make some extra time, I'll try to donate a humidor some day. Business here has been a handfull so I haven't turned out much stuff lately. Anyway, I wish everyone the best of luck. Buy lots...
You know I'm laughing my arse off. He won the last one too. I suppose a matching set is ok.
BTW I had to tell my friend at the post office to set the box flat. The epoxy bottom was still tacky when I hit the deadline for shipping. Should be cured by now though. :-)
Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around. Been working day & night to beat the economy into submission. No matter what though, I always want to contribute to this incredible event. I pulled a few late nighters and got another ashtray done to donate to the event. I hope everyone has a great time...
I kind of have to agree with the rest of the members here.I noticed on the bottom of the lid the border area looks like it may be losing some finish, other than that it looks pretty good. If you do want to refinish it, I have a book at home specifically about refinishing older wood to look...
I really didn't know what I was getting myself into. I just experimented until I got to this stage. My first try was with a "Clear gelcoat" Turns out it wasn't so clear. Then I did a 2nd layer of fiberglass resin, let it get tacky, then laid the CF material down on that and let it set up. Then I...
Thanks guys, this is my first attempt at something like this. I used the wrong resin and made a few mistakes that I had to redesign. I'm just thankful that I have clients that will let me attempt these projects. The fun has just begun though. We had just finished it and then we did this. Now...
First I want to say I'm not looking to sell one of these or anything like it. I spent 2 weeks just hand sanding the epoxy to a smooth finish. My finger prints are literally gone. This stuff is harder than steel. Thought you motor heads might enjoy it though. This is a Carbon Fiber console I'm...
Bro, I'm speechless. That's the baddest tray ever. A little carbon fiber accent in the letters would really set it off. Who's idea was it, yours or your machinist?
