Thanks, but unless you get the cigar "plumb" (as we used to say in carpentry), it's just another way to make a crooked cut. I'm beginning to wonder, why don't they just make the damn things with the "cut" already there? Must be the cutter lobby....
Hi Armer,
Remember, I'm a newbie at this, so take anything I say with a large grain of salt.
I picked up a fiver of the Melanios, probably from Cigar Page, a while back. When I got around to smoking one, I was blown away. They are strong, full-bodied (as I understand the term), but not...
This week, the Feds brought me...
Box of Camacho Triple Maduro Robustos, which came with a Corojo 4-pack and some swag (including a new cutter, which maybe will help me learn how to cut a damn cigar). Plus 20 Camacho American Barrel Aged Robustos. (I like Camachos.)
Nice box, btw (hey...
Yeah I don't know why that happens. Mine does the same thing. It's in my Mancave (basement room surrounded by 12 inch concrete on all four sides), the room temp can be 70 and the temp inside the Audew might be 64 or something. Maybe because it's contained, insulated and very little light gets...
So, you have the temp adjustment set at 69, but the temp reading says 62, and 62 is correct? The unit does not provide heat, so the actual temp could simply be based on the ambient environment. The temp setting merely tells the unit when to turn on the cooling (when the temp inside has reached...
What do you mean by "reading at 62"? Do you mean the temp display on the unit, or a separate thermometer?
I seem to have the opposite situation - if I set mine at 62, it tends to hold at around 67 or so. That's according to Govee and Cigar Oasis units inside the Audew.
Thanks for thinking of me, seriously. The truth of the matter is, I have probably a dozen desktop humidors at this point. I also ave a 150 count TEC unit and now have a second one, a 300 ct, on order. Plus a 300 ct wooden cabinet one. As soon as the new TEC unit arrives, I'll be the one...
Working a little late today, had a Buena Vista Nicaragua in dry box at the office, figured what the hell. Low expectations, but it's actually not bad. Patrticularly when paired with a 50 year old reel-to-reel mix tape with Bowie, Cocker, Mac and the Doobies... all of whom I saw live Back in...
Wow, I wasn't aware that golf balls have lines on them... that would drive me crazy (no fun intended), another reason not to play golf. :/
That... uh, circumcission method kinda gives me the willies.
I have a v-cutter and a punch and have tried both on various cigars. I couldn't seem to...
