Barrel Aged Negroni. This is really growing on me. Love the complexity and bitterness. This is definitely a case where the end result is better than the sum of its parts. Campari on its own is far too bitter and really doesn't do much for me. The week in the barrel seems to have rounded it...
Home made barrel aged manhattan. I bought one of those mini 2l Barrels and have been playing around with aging and the recipe. After the arderous process of daily tastings I finally Got the Manhattan barrel dialed in for age and taste re bottled the manhattans for later and whipped up a barrel...
Picked up
(2) 4 packs of Innis and Gunn Rum Cask, Really like this beer
4 pack of Skull Splitter, This came highly recommended by the local pusher
6 pack of Oskar Blues Dales Ale, an old favorite
6 pack of Newcastle Winter IPA, looked interesting and I love me some Newkies so I figured what the...
Paul, Howdy brother.
I live just south of Manchester. Barbs Beer Emporium in Concord usually has a stash. If you run across them defintiely grab yourself some. It was some seriously good stuff. FYI I picked up (2) 4 packs for $11.50 each.
Had some Innis and Gunn Rum Cask. Man this stuff is good. It tastes like a Newcastle that has some vanilla and extra depth to it. Really liked this one a lot. Has anyone had any of their Cask beers? It looks like they have a few different offerings and I was wondering if they were worth...
Got the smoker fired up. Got some ribs, crab and chive abt's and an Ashton cabinet fired up along side a Newcastle. I did a cold smoke before Christmas and have some smoked x sharp cheddar, Gouda and havarti coming out along with rays blue cheese dip (if it makes it that long). Got some...
Made up a batch yesterday. Tried to seek a taste yesterday anded ended up devouring half a bag of ruffles I could not stop. Crack indeed. This is some seriously good stuff. I can't wait to hear my buddies go nuts over this for the game. Thanks for sharing Ray. Thi is phenomenal.
Kind of what I figured. Thats why, even though it interests me, I keep passing it over. Plus, I figure I will run across it at a friends house soon enough and be able to give it a go. FWIW it is $33 vs $39 here. I usally buy the 1.75l black when it is on sale and it usually runs @ $55-60, a...
What are your thoughts? I enjoy jw black quite a bit. Seems that every time I go to grab it I end up spending $10-20 more and grab something else. A couple weeks back I had it in my hands but, ended up grabbing glendronach 12. (which I have not opened yet)
Enjoying a couple fingers of lag 16...
X2. I was reading a book by brad thor and the main character, Scot Horvath, was drinking lapsong souchong and compared it to an Islay scotch. Needless to say i had to try it. It is not like scotch but, as tea goes it does have a lot of of smoke and earthy tones. Definitely good stuff.
Good stuff those will be some Great Memories. I agree on the port, definitely not my go to but, when it is good it can be really good.
Last night I had some Jack Daniels Cider Jack, not very good, it was too sweet almost had a nutra sweet fake sugar type of sweetness to it. It was drinkable...
I know people think its boring but, if you look at the stats and given the affect turnovers have on the game, Brady's 29/4 td/int ratio is unreal. Manning's 30/10 is very impressive and he still has more than 2x the interceptions as Brady. IMO this only compounds the ridiculousness of TBs...
My only experience to date with the Oak series was with the 10 and I remember not thinking very much of it one way or another. Took a flier on the Select as the duty free options were terrible and I felt like I had to get myself something. :-)
that is out of my stratosphere. But I am sure it was phenomenal. I just picked up a bottle of the macallan select oak on a cruise. That and the appleton21 were the only thing worth grabbing. Have you had the select oak? Not sure i will pop it soon. I Think it will be sleeping for a while...
I have used them several times and never had an issue. Great selection on some stuff not available locally. Shipping gets pricey so I usually do 1 or two bigger orders a year.
Be aware when factoring in pricing that they are mostly 700ml bottles as everything in the states is 750ml.
