You can install a cooler on the back of a wooden humi. Though I think you may have some serious condensation problems with the glass. The doors on glass front coolers are double paned, so that owners can view their bottles of wine clearly. Wooden humidors that I've seen with coolers installed...

I own a Virtuoso as well. I picked it up after letting my espresso equipment go last year, so I was used to the quality of my Macap M4. When I sold my gear I promised myself to get a good grinder for my regular coffee needs, and the Virtuoso fit the bill. But for regular coffee...it probably IS...
Maybe look into a Baratza Refurb or contact Chris' Coffee to see what they can put you into. Definitely check your local craigslist, as many people think they want to grind their own, then tire of it and try to recoup some money. This is probably your best bet.
