Started with an Oliva V double robusto that was, for some reason way too soggy.
Ditched it and went for a Padilla Miami robusto. Enjoyed that yet not satisfied decided to finish the eve with a Padron 64 principe. Flavorful night to say the least.
Love the Especiales. I think this was my first lancero, and I'm thankful that it was this to get me started in the line.
Personally, I'm not a huge fan of Triunfadors. Not sure why, but I prefer the flavor profile of the Especiales.
Nice review.
Last night I had my very first Tat Reserva SW fresh off the truck. Couldn't wait to try it as I've heard so much about these. I took a gamble on them and was perfectly gratified. Enjoyed every minute of it.
Tonight it's the old faithful Padron 2000 Maduro. With a year of age on it's quite the...
I followed your advice and took out the shelves. That and taking out one of the oversaturated bead tubes appears to have done the trick.
Thanks to all who shared suggestions.
Anyone else experiencing high RH in their 12-bottle vinos?
I've got the shelves in, using three tubes of heartfelt beads (65) and the top shelves are holding ok around 65 RH, but the bottom are is as high as 75. I have the temp pretty low (60 degrees) as that's how I've been able to regulate...
I was doing some browsing of the iPhone app store tonight and saw that the number of cigar related apps seems to be growing. Back in Nov/December when I first got my iPhone there was only one app that I saw called Tasting Notes that had fields for rating cigars. Now there are a few more...
Excellent review. Thanks for sharing it.
I have a few singles of LFD sitting around and I'm always to afraid to try them given the bold reputation of the double ligeros. I think I need to really sit down with a couple and give them a fair shake.
Well said. "Thriller" was a massive part of contemporary culture. No public courts of disapproval, no amount of mind-boggling plastic surgery will erase that.
I honestly love most any Pepin lancero I can get my hands on, but I have found the blues a little underwhelming for some reason. I much prefer the robusto in the blue line.
My Fathers are excellent. Happen to be smoking a Father robusto right now and it is very similar to the lancero, IMO...
Very nice review. Thanks for posting. I am a lancero junkie but have yet to try these, haven't yet come across any fivers, so they are on my to-try list.
During the last week, in between rain spells, I've smoked at least 3 Tat Regio Reservas and a Padilla Miami lancero.
Tonight -- Started my evening cigar binge with an El Triunfador lancero, followed that up with a Padilla 1932 robusto. Thinking I will have a Tat Havana VI Angeles to round out...
Indeed. My father passed away almost five years ago and not a day goes by that I don't miss that guy. What I wouldn't give for the chance to share a cigar with him. I didn't start the hobby until almost 2 years ago, so I missed out. Those of you who can should definitely reach out and share a...
I ordered mine on Friday 6/12 and got my order confirmation that night. Shipping alert arrived in my inbox this morning with reported arrival date of 6/19. Not sure this is all going to pan out, but just wanted to include my experience so far.
