If you read enough of that you'll see that Al even said it was over and he was still going to offer Tatuaje cigars up. Hell I bought a box of Tat Black Tubos from him when they were first released and that was long after that tatuaje post. Some people are holding a grudge for a fight that has...
Keep it in the fridge and it should still be good but it won't be like fresh Hopslam. Depending on the beer hops can fade as quickly as 2 weeks and sometimes they last for months. It will still be very hoppy though and some people even prefer to age it so the malt balances the hop flavors out...
The beer should last for years being a 10% brew but the hops fade pretty fast and most people say drink it sooner rather than later. Once opened you should drink it right away...it may stay carbonated for one day after but those mini-kegs aren't made to keep carbonation once it's opened. I had...
LOL LA distributors must be seriously dumb. TX laws are horrible and it took forever for them to approve the label and get it shipped here. I thought we were going to miss out yet again but they pulled it together and finally got the beer here. Sorry dude but I have a feeling you guys at least...
BORIS is good stuff...BA BORIS is even better.
Just had a Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout from the latest release...yum.
Edit: This past weekend I had an Abyss from 2010...first time TX has received these and they flew off the shelves. I doubt I could find anymore at this point and they just...
I'd put it on the same level as Ten Fidy and Brookln Black Chocolate Stout. Very tasty...wish I had more than just that one but it was an extra in a trade I did recently.
I was pissed...it smelled pretty good but the taste was awful. No bourbon notes whatsoever...just tasted like sour fruit and a bit of chocolate malt. The 2008 bottle I had last year was amazing (thanks for that one btw). 2009 not so much...
Last night:
Drain poured a 2009 Brooklyn Black Ops - yuck infected mess...what a waste of $25
2009 Goose Island Bourbon County Stout
12oz Boulevard Double Wide IPA
Ska Euphoria Pale Ale
Tonight:
Firestone Walker 14th - excellent flavors and very different from the 13th...this one seems like it...
Great Lakes Barrel Aged Blackout Stout - Great beer but the thing really snuck up on me...feels like much more than the reported 9.5% on the bottle. It almost feels like drinking a GI BCS bomber.
Ah damn I had a Bourbon Barrel Quad as well a few days ago. Good lord that beer is completely different now that it's 100% barrel aged. Very complex and almost sour from the cherries but the barrel adds lots of vanilla to the flavor. Good stuff.
Just finished a FiftyFifty Imperial Eclipse...
Heh while great, Ten Fidy isn't in the same league IMO.
There really are no regularly available Bourbon County Stout equivalents, let alone a Vanilla, Coffee, or Rare equivalent. Barrel Aged beers are typically pretty expensive and limited. I've spent $20 a bomber and as much as $30 a...
