Seriously, you haven't heard of them? Surprising since you've been around here awhile. They are made by Pepin. ??? Haven't got around to trying any myself, I hear they are a bit young still.
What killed me about Canada and cigar prices was not so much the price of Cuban cigars as the price of non Cubans. In Toronto I saw the largest Padron 64 going for $100! Don't know if thats the normal price for those up there though. The Cohibha Siglo six was $57. Taxes gone crazy, might as...
I've only been smoking pipes for a little over a month so I couldn't really give a proper review of Penzance so I won't even try, but I will relate some observations.
This, like all English blends I've had, seems to contain Latakia and has that heavy, smoky, barbecue-y smell before lit. The...
I think they change the free tobacco every month or so. I guess it depends on what you like. It is always nice to dedicate a certain type of tobacco (aromatic, burly, english etc.) to a pipe if you have enough pipes to do that with. I have a pipe that I only smoke aromatics and Boswell burly...
I have a Boswell churchwarden, Bjarne freehand, Brebbia 623 bulldog and a couple Missouri Meersschaum cobs. I like them all for different reasons but my favorite is the Boswell.
Not only is the Boswell the best smoker of the bunch but I feel good supporting him. They are very friendly have...
I should clarify my statement about the cob pipes. I have two and am glad I have them for the reasons burro stated. They are great for trying out new tobaccos and they can be smoked more often which is nice. I'm just saying, for me, I started enjoying pipe smoking much more after I smoked my...
Sorry to be asking so many questions here on the pipe forum but I'm new to this.
I have eight different tobaccos and four of them smell like smoky BBQ. It's kinda strange but I like the taste of them for the most part although it's not something I would want to smoke every day and I doubt I...
People really are crazy. Why would a likely ruined, unsmokable tobacco be worth anything? Is the packaging really that nice to have. And this blend was no doubt great ( I wouldn't know) but can it really be worth about thirty times what currently available tobacco costs? I think some people...
Get a variety. I ordered my tobacco based on ratings and I ended up with a lot of similar stuff. Get an English blend, an aromatic and a burly. that should give you some idea what to buy next.
So far I have enjoyed the bulk blends from Boswell better than the tinned stuff I have. Boswell's...
I think it's a good idea. It would organise the pipe section a bit and make it easier to find info on a particular tobacco without searching the whole pipe forum.

As far as working with perdomo to make their cigars better, well... I doubt if they became good they would sell any more to the average buyer. I mean come on, the best sellers are Acid and Macanudo. Do you really think the average guy has any appreciation for what we call good cigars?
And...
it says:
The tin has rust on the bottom (see photo) and I’m certain the seal has been compromised (movement inside when the tin is shaken), hence the low opening bid and no reserve.
And still, currently going at $42 ???
It freaks me out a bit too. I would always wonder who's pipe I'm smoking. The only way I would be completely cool with it is if it was a relative's pipe.
For example, My Grandfather passed away in 2000, he was ninety nine years old and a pipe smoker and I was very fond of him. I would love...
