Thanks to all for the responses.
I was under the impression the 1926 line was introduced in 2002, one year after Padron had started putting serial numbers on their 1964 cigars.
FWIW, all of my more recent boxes (starting 2002 and up) have a German Schmale clasp on them. But, three '98 unvarnished boxes have an Italian clasp. (2 from the El Laguito factory and 1 from the Jose Marti factory).
I also use an old 50ct. for supplies/accessories. If you need to use it in the future, just re-season it. It's not going to get any drier than when you first bought it.
Boveda packs and even the humipacks from a Fuente box works well for me. I've taken two 1 week trips and during my second, I didn't even bring along a humidifying device.
The otter boxes are air tight and if your cigars are properly humidified prior to putting them in, they should stay fine for...
Looks like the pic is from a Adobe Photoshop contest held by worth1000.com
Lots of other cool variations there as well.

I just received 5 Padron 1926 #9 in a trade from someone claiming they are from the original release in 2002. My question is, is it possible to estimate the release date based on the serial number?
Of the 5, 3 have a serial number in the 550XXX series, while the other 2 have a serial number in...
I actually picked up a couple bottles of this stuff way back when this thread first started. I finally got around to trying out the 2nd of the two bottles. The first bottle, Absinthe Suisse - La Bleue Clandestine, has been shared with a few friends over the past months and we have all agreed...
I've had a few from the Tatuaje line. Cojonu 2003, Petit's, Reserva SW, Especiales, Noella, and a Reserva J21. All have been very good with the Reserva SW standing out among them all. It was the spiciest of the bunch, and had more of a complex flavor profile compared the rest. The J21 was...
The prices for the GOF sticks are pretty much in line with MSRP according to the Prometheus GOF site. The BBMF's are a great price at $55/each and even better at $50/each ;) Looks like they may have more than 5 available and are breaking into their sets for more *singles* sales.
Before I moved my collection into a cabinet, I used my two desktops for single storage and stacked my boxes in the cooler. I contemplated the idea of fabricating shelves as well, but in the long run was much happier keeping things simple and just stacking the boxes in there neatly.
I would...
I just smoked a PLPC, OTT and just a few hours after receiving my new cab. Just couldn't keep my grubby hands off 'em. I found it to be as good as the '01's I've had in the past. But man, if the Partagas and Upmann petit’s are better than these, I can't wait to try them.
The invoice was in Euro's. I converted to USD using xe.com. Also, just got off the phone with my bank. Not sure if there will be fees associated with wire transferring money, but the included SWIFT number is all I'll need to get these guys their payment.
I did some further searching on their...
Well curiosity got the best of me, LOL. I ventured onto the link posted by Moki and a few days later, five Finlandia Robustos landed at my doorstep. I still need to set up payment since, as BrewMeister mentioned, they send the cigars with an invoice. Price wasn't too bad either, total for 5...
