We just starting getting the new 2009 Pere Jacques and Matilda. It has a new label, very minimalist. I'll have to give it a try, I haven't had the Pere Jacques in a while. 22oz bottles now as well. Supposedly the BCS will also be in the bomber this year. There's a night's worth of drinking for you!
I picked up some Hop Stoopid in Arizona while on vacation earlier this month. I couldn't believe it was only $4 for a bomber! Lagunitas is supposed to be coming to KC, I think that will be a regular.
I've got to get a new connect on this. My Mom used to live in Buellton where FW had a tasting room. She'd always hook me and my brother up with this and Hitching Post Pinot Noir (the restaurant they eat at in Sideways). It does say Arizona though, that's where she is now!
I have a friend who goes on a trip, every two year IIRC, where they try to hit as many breweries as possible. They got a great tour at Surly.

Very cool! What a great way to celebrate. I haven't tried the 12 yet, I'm waiting for it to get coooler. I feel lucky to have had the 10 twice. The FW anniversary beers are one of the few that I would pay that kind of money for. Although the 10 was only $10 when it came out!
Pretty good beer weekend so far. Ommegang Biere de Mars on Friday. Kind of a training wheels Brett beer. It could have been a bit more tart. Glad I got to try it, but don't see spending $12 on it again. Followed that with a 2007 Bourbon County and a Cruzado Dantes. The BCS never lets you down...
Sierra Nevada Kellerweis. Good stuff, it's got the clove and banana flavors along with the creamy mouthfeel you usually only get from German Hefeweizens.
I did anniversary beers this weekend. It's not my anniversary, but I had a bunch in the beer fridge. Friday was Full Sail 21 (Thanks MAS_Puros). It was supposed to be a dopplebock. It seemed more old alish to me. Not bad. Saturday was Great Divide 15. Oak aged DIPA with some nice vanilla...
Word! Missouri just got Founder's as well. Not enough of it though because I didn't get any of the Centennial IPA. I could see myself drinking a lot of the Red Rye. The Old Curmudgeon is fantastic as well. Great oak flavor and lots of malt. It would be better in the winter however. It's too damm...
I smoked a 49 last night as well. I rarely smoke cigars this big, but I was at the lake and had plenty of time. I've only had the 46 and 50 before, and it seemed a bit less powerful than the smaller sizes. I've had some of those knock me on my ass with nicotine, so I approached with caution...
