El Cheapo Smoke of the Day - 2024

Deadwood Sweet Jane…I think the overall cigar is pretty decent (got it on clearance at small batch). It’s my first infused/flavored cigar. I decided I hate sweetened tips, so I made a little modification. Works great!

Blind Cigar Review - Pay it Forward #2!

Got my mystery cigar in today from @whopper. I’ll let it acclimate for a bit before smoking and attempting my review/guess.

    Stoving Tobacco

Stuck a couple of cigars in a mason jar in the oven for 5 hours at 200F this weekend. The wrapper was noticeably darker than when it went in and the smell was delightful. No apparent damage. Going to let them sit in the humidor for a few weeks to settle down and then I'll give one a try.

    Stoving Tobacco

Alright, so I’ve been reading a lot about stoving pipe tobacco recently in order to improve and bring out new flavors. That led to me thinking about applying the same process to cigars. I’ve got a handful of sticks that I don’t really care for. Would I be insane to do this? I imagine it would...

    Corn Cobs vs Briar

I'm starting to feel this exact same way...seeing as I mostly smoke a pipe while I'm puttering around the garage, I don't quite see the need for a fancy briar right now.

    Corn Cobs vs Briar

Am I crazy, or is it easier to smoke a corn cob vs a briar? I feel like I am able to keep a bowl lit longer and without as much effort in a cob vs my briar pipes. Thoughts? Anyone else have a similar or opposite experience?

    Anyone follow Formula 1?

I mean variable as in weight, which is why they drain it. Tires also vary in weight from car to car depending on how many laps they've done on them, so I think its weird that they don't remove those as well. The teams know that, so its obviously on them to make sure they're compliant. I just...

    Anyone follow Formula 1?

No no, you're 100% right. Rules are rules, every other driver did not have an issue with weigh in, so it was definitely on Mercedes. I think the point I was trying to make was that it seems silly to exclude one variable weight factor (fuel) for the weigh in and include the only other variable...
