Wow.. been a long time since I updated. Didn't actually work on the room at all from the time I last updated until the first week of January. Between the birth of my second son and work being crazy just couldn't find time.
Since the first week in January I ran all the HVAC, the exhaust fan...
There is a good chance on or around the 15th I was doing a lot of updates.. might have caused the time out (or it was the server -- I think I need a new host sooner than expected).
The Chrome/Safari CSS issue is now resolved. So it should display the same for all.
Thanks for the compliments...
Been a hectic couple of months with the birth of my second son, work going crazy and now the holidays. It's been hard to get to all the forums as much as I'd like.. So I apologize for the month long absence.
However, I wanted to share with you all my newest project. It's still technically in...
I'm a webmaster for a large financial company.
I have 10 years experience in graphic design, html, asp and php programming and 5 years Server Administration experience.
This is sound advice. In my last house I had to smoke in the garage and sometimes you could smell it in the house. Finally I cracked the garage door about 6", put a 12" fan on the floor in front of it and set it to medium. You could literally see the smoke travel down to the floor and blown...
Haven't had to many updates the last couple days. Some nights I haven't been able to get down to work on it because of real life work.
The first picture below shows 2 (well.. now 1) vents that fed air into the unfinished area. These are being located to the wall next to the HVAC equipment and...
Those are pretty sharp.. won't be using any though. In the lounge it would disrupt the air pattern up to the vent and in the exercise room I'd be concerned for my wife's life (She is 6'2", so once she get's on the eliptical, it might serve as more of a guillotine than a ceiling fan!)
Will take...
Did some more work on the Lounge this morning. Got all of the wall framing done. Have not done the soffit around the duct work since the HVAC guy may need additional room there and anything I build may get in the way. I'll do that after he runs his stuff.
I also cut out the door for the...
There actually computers (My webserver, fileserver and Tunes machine). :) That room will be for storage.
The exercise room will have rubber flooring and the lounge will be tile.
The plan right now is to go with a "cream" color.. just to prevent any dingy white walls. I don't want to go any darker than that as I have no windows, it will just have a single french door which is across from the sliding glass door in the existing basement.
To give the room a bit of an "old...
I feel for ya man. Nothing fun about smoking in the cold.
Step 1: Purchase Wares - Complete. ;)

After some saving and selling.. I've finally been able to begin my new Project. A fully ventilated, closed off room in the basement. My lounge.
Free from the 101˚ / 90% humidity days of the Virginia Summer and the 5˚ (-5 windchill) winter days that come with it.
The ability to smoke a...
