What are you paying for it?
A good buddy of mine just picked up a NICE camera at *well* below retail, and it's a beauty. I'd be glad to get his source and the specs on the camera if your price range meets that. I think he paid around $300 for it, IIRC.
I won't see him till Monday though.
Personally, I'm not a fan of "Cubans because they're Cubans." I've had a couple of Cubans that completely sucked. Would I smoke them again? Sure, because there's always the chance that I've had one that was just bad, and the next may be great.
I've also had some that I love. But are they all...
Great sticks to hand out a family reunion, or just to show off.
Can anyone say huge glass-top humi just for show?
I can't imagine my last name being on a band, unless I special ordered it. :sign:
I hope you'd pick up a CAO Gold over a Helix! The CAO's have the Helixes beat hands down IMO.
I'm not a maddie fan either, though I no longer consider myself a lightweight when it comes to cigars. I'm totally loving the strong smokes, but something about the flavor of maddies just doesn't sit...
This one was gifted to me by hyper1. Thank you very much.
I believe it was a generoso, though it may have been a figurado (I just don't think it was quite that long).
The draw was terrible at first, but with some careful massage it loosened up a bit as I smoked it. The stick was very harsh...
Yeah. It'll be in the jello area or the area where they sell those mason jars for canning. The brand I get (read: got, because one package will last you AND all the people you know forever) is called Cetro (I think - I'll check when I get home)
I have one of these left from filibrent's recent box split. I smoked my other one.
It won't be there by Christmas, but I'll get it out to you as soon as I can.
Merry Christmas!
I've never smoked a pre-embargo cuban.
I have, however, smoked some that I brought back from a legal trip to Cuba. You're allowed to bring back $100 or less of cigars for personal use from a government-sanctioned trip.
Yeah, that's what I did.
It's a sticky substance used in jellies and jams. You can get it in the gelatin section of the grocery store.
It is odorless, tasteless, and dries completely - you can use it to repair wrappers on cigars (which is how I know it'll be safe for bands).
You can buy it pre-mixed (liquid) or...
LOL ... after I ordered those cedar blocks from CBid, I realized had way too many .... gotta do something with them!
I hope you enjoy that Anejo ... the sharks are my favorite!
EDIT: I haven't recieved Phil's sticks yet, but I PMed him to ask for the DC, since he didn't list it. I'm afraid it...
I got them. Thank you very much, once again.
Did they break your windows, or was it unlocked, or what?
Isn't this the second time something like this has happened to a board member? :(
Okay, so what is our new suggested date? We want to set it ahead with plenty of notice so that hopefully phishy can get his fins up here, and CCat can get his tail down here (if he still wants to come!)
