You know, that makes a lot of sense. I guess if the gels are completely full they wouldn't be able to take moisture away. I got the larger humidifier due to me getting a larger humidor in the near future. I guess this could be to big for my current humidor. Also, those marks on the bottom of the...
Here is a slight up date.
I noticed while snapping some pics. That it began to lower. apparently my humidor was over 90% RH :( I'm not sure how. My beads are set to 70%. My hygrometer has been calibrated. I mean it has been 30 degrees lately and today it was 60 degrees. I don't see how only...
About 2 weeks ago I added a Xicar digital hygrometer and Xicar gel beads to my humidor. Everything is in proportion. I've opened the humidor maybe 3 times in the last two weeks. Each time it has red 70% RH and anywhere from 69-73F. I come home tonight since it's been unusally nice here in Kansas...
Agreed.
It's hard to tax certain things and not the other. Hell, McDonalds offers grilled chicken on a whole wheat bun. They offer salads and yogurt. I personally think us as a country are pretty messed up when it comes to health. Don't get me wrong, I'm a die hard American. I'd serve if asked...
I'll be pretty blunt. Tax things higher that aren't good for you. They tax the hell out of cigarettes. America is leading the world in obesity. It's disgusting. 30.6% of Americans over the age of 15 are obese. Not a few extra pounds, obese. Do what you can before everyone is rolling around in...
Nicely done Chris. That takes some talent. I personally would have gone with wooden shelves. But that's just me. That is some gorgeous wood. What else do you chisel away at?

It's good to keep your humidifier in the very middle or rotate it from corner to corner. It's a valuable lesson. Thanks for sharing. Just leave those dry sticks alone. They will catch up eventually.

I think this is a very nice humi. I almost pulled the trigger on this one. If it would have been black I would have. You can always manually calibrate your analog hygrometer. I'm big on things matching. This particular box wouldn't match my home decor. I did some research on it and I saw good...
I'm a big CAO fan. I know what you're talking about. All the Brizilla "2" I've smokd were tight. All the Cameroon Golds I've smoked "2" were really loose. I like a tighter draw. I don't like the feeling of sucking through a straw. You can give a like massage and help loosen it up a bit.

I wouldn't say the America is the worst I've had. But I think I will be fine if I never have one again. It was nice to try. I'm open to new things. But it was a bit harsh on the smoke with not a lot of flavor. It kind of reminded me of a camp fire.

I've been thinking of picking up a Britalia. I love the spice and fullness of the Brasilia. I also like how mellow the Italia is. I heard the blend makes for a nice mild to full cigar. Now I found them at the Outlaw, here in Kansas City. But for $30.00 a stick. I'd like to hear other's opinions...
Well good day sir. I was just at the Outlaw the first time the other day. I'm from south OP and frequent Cigar & Tobac.
The back porch is really my only option. Or at work when doing inventory... shhhhh. I can't wait to have a man cave. :)
