Beads are the way to go.
You do not need to recharge them with distilled water, but you can.
Always use distilled water if you put the water directly on the beads.
I recharge mine using well water in a cap from a 2L soda bottle. In the
winter I need to refill the cap every week. In the...
Oliva V and San Cristobal do not fit a newbie mild-medium
preference. They are xlnt smokes for a more medium-full.
The Newbie Sampler Trade is the way to go.
IMHO, the Olivas and Casa Torano are very good selections.
For a good milder Perdomo try the 10th Anniversary Champagne.

Like every vendor their prices are good on some sticks, and not as good
on others.
I got a very good deal on some Punch Rare Corojos from bestcigarprices.com,
and was very happy with the quick service, shipping and delivery. I'd buy from
them again.

As a newbie, it's your duty to try as many different cigars as
possible, until you find your favs. It takes time.
In general you get what you pay for, even in cigars. But there
is a point of diminishing return, IMHO.
Ideally you'll find a $2 cigar that tastes great to you. That's
everyone's...
Smoke those that you bought and remember which ones you like.
Then try another sampler, perhaps a Newbie Sampler trade.
Keep trying different cigars from different manufacturers, keeping
a mental note of those you like. Over time you'll find your favs.
The only problem is that the blessed...
I do occasionally smoke 2-3 consecutively, but the flavors of the
second and third are subdued by the finish remaining from the first.
That's why I don't often do it.
If I eat a meal, or have some good drink to clear my palate, then
smoking 'almost' consecutive cigars is much more enjoyable...
I smoked some R-52s on the drive home from FL last spring.
It was reasonably priced and spicy. Different from most Fuentes.
They're very good for the money.
I recently picked up a 5er of the Hemi Sig rosado SGs, but haven't
tried one yet.

My favorite Torano is the Casa Torano maduro.
I've tried several others and find them to be quite good, but not
something to make my regular rotation.
The Casa Torano maduro is in my regular rotation. Come to think
of it, I need to replenish my box.

Try everything you can...
Ashton, Fuente, LFD, LGC, RP, CAO, etc.
Most vendors make a good maduro.
My personal favs in maduro are:
AF Hemi (any size including WOAM)
RP OWR and Edge
CAO Brazilia
Oliva V
Pepin Serie JJ

Meineke Bowl at Noon
Sun Bowl at 2pm - Notre Dame vs. Miami
Good advice here.
It sounds as if your salt test is not correct, or your hygrometer is intermittent.
Wiping down the cedar with distilled water does speed up the conditioning process.
When placing a shot glass of water in a new humi, it can go above the recommended
70% rh, resulting in the...
pennywise.biz has the same Ronson Amero lighter deal today, 12/27.
I'd suggest using PPal, since the vendor does NOT get your CC#
when using an escrow service(PPal).
My only question is, "Do I need a dozen more lighters?"
They do come in handy for gifts at herfs, etc. And the price is right...
You should buy what you like, or want to try.
Just offering suggestions.
If my closest b&m was 5hrs. away, I'd buy online exclusively.
There are some very good retailers that support this website.

Picked up a box(10) of Macanudo Hyde Park for gifting at New Year.
Several friends say they will try a mild cigar, so...
Also picked up a couple Little Havana Perfecto hygrometers from the CigarMonster.
My original LH Perfecto hygro is amazingly accurate. Hope the new ones exhibit
the same...
