Decided to smoke the mystery cigar that’s been sitting around for a couple decades. Dominican all the way but no idea what it was. OK not great but really good construction especially considering the whole cigar tapered.

Years definitely matter and to a much lesser extent box codes. When I was smoking a lot of cigars and really into it my pallet was much better than it is these days and I could discern nuances sometimes from different box codes . If you find a box you really like and want more always ask...
i’ve been really pleased at how the 98’s have aged keeping their complexity and great flavor profile throughout the years. I suggest you try one out see how it smokes and just try one every year or a couple years to gauge what kind of aging potential it will have. I’m sure they’ll age well just...
