I've had the Vanilla Rye, and its pretty damn good. Not overly sweet, and very smooth. Even the fiance liked it. The Prop I'll likely not see in Austin. I think it might actually be a Chicago only release.   I saw a bottle once... I thought bad things and walked away.

  Good stuff coming out of Oskar Blues, you'll probably enjoy the line up.   Had an Avery Tweak last night.... BOOZY! Coffee, but not overpowering and barrel aged. I hope to get more.

Wow, its scarce down here but a lot more reasonably priced(which I thought was overpriced). There's a short list of stuff I'll spend $8+ for a 12oz bottle on.

The regular is very good, I think the barleywine is better(ymmv). If they have some, its definitely worth a try.

Last year was the first we saw of it, 4packs were running $16-18. This year they are mostly only selling singles, and the cheapest 4pack I saw was $22. They can make more money selling as singles.

At least as far as Austin was concerned, I heard that most bottles went straight to restaurants. A handful made it into the wild but I never saw any. Typically CL is full of people reselling Pappy after the release. There's about a dozen bottles up now, most of them the 10yo and 12yo. All at...

I haven't seen or smelled any Pappy or BATC at all this year in TX. Even Craigslist only showed a couple of bottles. Pretty sad, but I'm not going to pay what the gougers want anyway. I'll keep hunting.

Yeah, massive demand and not enough to go around. I've got feelers out for Pappy, but I think my odds of getting any or a full set of BATC this year are pretty lean.
