Brewed a batch of my "public house" pale ale today. 1.060, all cascade pale that satisfies my hop cravings without getting stupid. Now I'm looking at a foreign extra stout to throw on this yeast when it's finished fermenting.
Today I cracked the first of my latest recipe... a "dirty" blonde ale. It's my attempt at converting light lager drinking relatives into ""good" beer drinkers. They've all asked to try my brew before... but there's a big gap between buttwiper and a double ipa or imperial stout.

This recipe sounds great! I made a beer bread about three weeks ago similar to this. I tossed in about a cup of Vermont white cheddar. It was tremendous! A good beer bread recipe is great to have on hand when you don't have the time or patience to wait.
I have never tried it myself. I have been brewing for about 2 years now. From what I hear, the fermenter that comes with the kit can be especially useful when preparing smaller batches if/when you move on to extract with hop additions and all-grain brewing. Give it a try though. Mr. Beer has...
