Masterfulness of the Serie G Maduro Churchill (Oliva 8-ct Sampler Experience)

It around long enough to opine. But for the money it’s hard to beat Oliva value IMO. You can find better cigars and you can find cheaper cigars, but it’s damn hard to find a better cigar for less money than an Oliva. I feel similarity about Padron. Not the fancy schmancy stud, their regular...

Grrrrrrr. Gotta pay more attention. Anyway, the deal just got better. My automatic was the Veteran thing. I have to remember to check for higher discounts. Anyway, that's even better.

    Cigar Deals

La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial is fast becoming a top 5 cigar for me, and I love the #3, toro. Cigarsinternational has them on clearance, I just ordered 20 and with some random coupon that auto-filled for me it came to $6.30 per stick. That's pretty awesome, as I can't find them for less than...

Masterfulness of the Serie G Maduro Churchill (Oliva 8-ct Sampler Experience)

You know, while I'm a big fan of Oliva or RP seconds for my econosmokes these days, it never occurred to me that the opposite end of the spectrum might be true ... inspectors saved "firsts +" for these samplers. Makes perfect sense. I don't get them for that reason, but to, well, sample a line...

Wednesday night smoke. La Aroma de Cuba Mi Amor. I very much liked it, but I prefer the Edicion Especial. The whole line is very good, though!

Do You Have a Go-To Yard Gar ?

Usually a HC Black Maduro Robusto. About $3.50 per stick, but I only buy them when they run a sale of some sort.

    Today's Smoke 2025

Tuesday smoke, had to move to a CT wrapper, this one an HC Connecticut double corona. A little too light, actually, I’m gravitating more solidly to the medium or medium/full smokes and avoiding the light and heavy end as I get older. But this was a nice smoke after the last two heavy sticks.

Backwards can be fun. Old wheel guns, esp the single actions have a lot of history and are a blast to shoot!

Eastern PA Herf at a cigar lounge - gauging interest

I’d love to check it out, but as long as @hydro-terp is the only one interested so far, it will be Ashton Cigar Bar. If we get several other folks who want to try another venue we may do that. We’ll see if there is any more interest over the next several days.

    Today's Smoke 2025

@Pugman1943 I believe you were the person who shamed me into trying a Padron for the FIRST time  And I thank you for it. Bought a box, I need to bring more up from the basement. I should have at least one a week, I think.

Eastern PA Herf at a cigar lounge - gauging interest

No doubt, it’s a first-rate cigar bar, classiest one around. What was the cutting charge? I bought one of theirs, did not ask. Come on Eastern PA peeps! Maybe make it midday on a Saturday to make it easy. Perhaps lunch at The Dandelion then Ashton?

Eastern PA Herf at a cigar lounge - gauging interest

Having just met with @hydro-terp at the Ashton Cigar Bar in Philadelphia, a thoroughly enjoyable meeting, I thought I'd see if there is any interest at meeting at an Eastern PA cigar lounge. There are several options ... Ashton Cigar Bar, Philadelphia https://www.ashtoncigarbar.com/ Leaf Cigar...

What shipping labels do you use with PirateShip?

Tested them, they do work. Not as nice as the Avery which are properly sized, but for the price, I don’t mind trimming them for occasional use. No need to buy a special-use printer for mailing labels.
