UPDATE: Well, it's been almost six months. Today I accidentally knocked it off a three foot high table on to a wood deck and it broke. I liked it, but not sure if I'll buy again if it can't survive that kind of fall. There is a small hole or crack somewhere but now the whole thing sets itself on fire, so I got that going for me.

Try the warranty for the hell of it. $7 processing fee. Worst they could say is "no".
