Another possibility it that it hit the spark plug just right, closed the gap, and that cylinder isn't fireing anymore. A much less expensive repair. I agree though. I wouldn't think a dog food nugget could do much damage at all.

My wife and I drive a 99 Ford Escort and an 04 Honda Odyssey. Whoever is chauffeuring the kids around drives the Honda and the other drives the high gas mileage, low power output Ford. :whistling: Sure do miss my Jeep Grand Cherokee with the V8 in it.

$500 :whistling: You got that right. All I am trying to do is get my old computer to a state where my son can use/play with it. $500 is a bit much for a toy for a 6 year old and his 4 year old brother. $150 is probably the limit.

How do I find out what service pack is in it? Not sure what was loaded by Dell when I bought it in 2000. The processor is a Pentium 2 or 3. Again, I will have to check the system when I get home to be sure. Same with RAM. I think I have the original discs for Windows 98 so I will have to check...
