My new smaller Moka was delivered, it had a pressure release valve on the stem as well, adds a bit of back pressure... Or so I thought... Glad my wife was in the shower
There are lots of little things that go into making a good Moka. the main points for me are:
1. Use the right grind - between espresso and drip works best for me
2. Fill the basket and the chamber fully, they should be made for each other
3. Level the grounds, do not tamp/pack
4. Heat slow, very...
That one, in the picture is perfect for 2 Americanos, but way too big for a single cup for me, i just bought a smaller one for my weekday travel to the office coffee
I have been to 1 in Germany, I in Rotterdam, 1 in Warsaw, and 1 in The Hague.
Rotterdam and Warsaw were by far the best, but this was in 2008-10 timeframe.....
