    Daniel Marshall 500 Count Humidor

Thanks, haha. Funny thing is I have an auto controlled temp and humidity cabinet. It keeps my cigars just fine but I don't like how they age in it because the sides and back are plastic. The only cedar is the shelves.

    Opinions on humidors

I would agree about storing boxes, I've personally found the less drawers the better. I'v also found that many humidors don't hold the full amount of cigars they say they do. I didn't take into account the space I lost when adding a large cigar oasis humidifier.

    Redford Humidor

That's a great point. I'm in the Northeast and have a basement so it is usually between 55-65 ambient temp. I keep the humidor set on 66 & 66.

    Redford Humidor

I am using the heartfelt humidity beads 65% in combination with a 320g boveda pack on each shelf. Like I said before I didn't wet the humidity beads. I just allowed them to absorb moisture natural over time. I have 3 hygrometers now on the top middle and bottom shelves and they all read...

    Redford Humidor

I agree on the climate control being week. With that said by adding the boveda bags I've been able to average a temp of 65.5 and humidity of 70.0% for the past month. However that's having to add extra items which costs more money.

    Redford Humidor

Yes. It took a few turns to get it dialed in. I got a tip from the internet to add humidity beads to the water reservoir. I did. I didn’t even add water to them. I put a Boveda Pack in each shelf and it all seems to be working fine.

    Redford Humidor

It's not bad. At first I was frustrated but I contacted the seller and explained my issues. It turned out I had to calibrate the humidity. They sent me detailed instructions. Once I did that it works just fine. However I filled the water reservoir with Heartfelt 69% humidity beads and...

How to season your new humidor - step by step guide

This is great information. Like many things there is more than one way to arrive at the same destination. I like you use a sponge to wipe the interior of the humidor. I'm old school. There is certainly nothing wrong with using Boveda seasoning packets. I wish they existed 20 years ago. I...

    S T Dupont Which Butane???

I have 2 ST Dupont DEFI Extreme's, I was using the Xikar Purofine like I do in my other lighters and I was having issues. I switched to the ST Dupont Black as recommended by ST Dupont and they fire every time perfectly.
