    Mad Tunneling!

true. Ive tried boxes of tabernacles and liga privadas stored at 65rh for 3+ months and they will keep tunneling.

    Mad Tunneling!

How long do you rest them at 65?

    Mad Tunneling!

Do you mean dry box them at 65% (box is 65rh) or dry box them till they get to 65%?

    Mad Tunneling!

I have found out the reason why cigars tunnel. After purchasing from different online retailers and trying out fresh out of the box, I hardly had any tunneling. After resting for a couple of weeks at 65rh, all of them present tunneling or burn issues. So, based on my experience, I am sure...

    mad cigar tunneling!

I had very bad tunneling on my cigars this year. I noticed Connecticut broadleaf wrappers were the worst. I tried everything: lowering/ increasing humidity, resting for weeks/months, puffing slow/fast but nothing worked. Happened to boxes of liga privadas, the tabernacle, cao session among...

    Cigar burn issues!

yes, and that was two minutes because I took time, so I might of tried to speed it up. I could've been puffing by 3-4 minute intervals all along. I tried 1 minute intervals and there was a better burn, like the wrapper would actually combust unlike before.

    Cigar burn issues!

I believe you. I'm suspecting smoking too slow. I'll change my speed from puffing every 2 minutes to every minute. So far things have improved. I'll keep you updated.

    Cigar burn issues!

I am smoking right now to document this. I lighted it up with zippo (slow) and started smoking lightly. The burn died out completely very quick. Lighted up again, and took time. I found out I was taking puffs every 2 minutes. Coild that be the cause? smoking too slow?

    Cigar burn issues!

You know what? you might be right. I have told my self to smoke slowly after lighting up or finding myself smoking too hard. It could be that by lighting up the perdomo style and given some ambient conditions where my house is pretty cool, the wrapper doesnt catch up to the tunneling that is...

    Cigar burn issues!

I have this cabinet and is pretty reliable all over the shelves, if I open the door and humidity escapes, it humidifies back insanely quick. humidity oscillates by 2 degrees.

    Cigar burn issues!

one thing I notice on cigars that tunnel is that sometimes it has cracks on the ash and black spots. dont know what this means.

    Cigar burn issues!

but they're not. Ive bought from cigarsdaily, bestcigarprices, cigarking, smokeinn, famoussmoke. tunneling on all liga privadas, and tabernacles, despite vitolas and all varieties. it doesnt make sense other than the cigars are cool to the touch and after lighting up, the oily wrappers dont like...

    Cigar burn issues!

it does not make sense to me either, I have been smoking for 3 years and never had tunneling issues. cigars come with boveda from retailers and I let them rest in several humidors and tupperware in different humidities for testing (65 and 69). They will tunnel no matter what, it is absolutely...
