    Competitive Dog Grooming

Believe it or not, there is a US Grooming Team. And, after only two years competing, my wife came in 3rd this year (she was 6th last year). The top 5 will travel to Belgium next fall to compete internationally. She also made the copy of the October issue of Groomer to Groomer (she's the one in...

    Albuquerque in early October

All the suggestions here are good. I like Giovanni's Pizza. My favorite burrito place is Dos Hermanos; get the number 3 breakfast burrito with chorizo and red chile. One note: everybody has there favorite New Mexican restaurant, so again, you can't miss with what everyone has suggested. A...

    Nica Libre 1990

My neighbor gave me one of these this afternoon. It was 4.5" and boxed pressed (looked up ring gauge to be 46). I haven't had the Padron that it's compare to, but it was a good cigar. I wrote the following review in my journal: "Boxed press, dark shiny wrapper; somewhat loose draw. Earthy...

I saw a friend do that this weekend. To make matters worse, I gave him the Scotch and the cigar!

    Opening a Cigar store

I've never been to this B&M but I saw it on Craigslist a while back: Retail Cigar and Pipe Business. On another note, I travel a lot. As such, before I leave, I Google for B&M at my destination city. I am surprised at the lack of web pages for cigar shops. Although I'll get a map showing...

    Thompson cigar co.

I've used Thompson a few times. I'll have to agree that their house cigars are lack luster, but I have no problem with well known brands from them. The emails I get from them are somewhat annoying, but I just delete them (I should probably set up a filter to delete them). I do enjoy getting the...

I'm struggling to keep the humidity at 70%

I had the some problem. I moved all my cigars to a plastic container and reseasoned the humidor (which took a couple of days). It's been holding steady at about 68%. I am also using beads, but have to recharge them every couple of days. You just have to keep a closer eye on them during the...

    Fastest shot in the world

I saw this guy when I was a kid; maybe 10 or 11 years old. I have a picture of me standing with him somewhere. Whether its real or not, it's still fun to watch.

    Humidor w/ built-in, broken hygrometer

Don Salvatore (link) makes a digital external hygrometer with an analog readout. You can pick these up on eBay for around $25. Just make sure it will fit.

    CIgar Lounge Blues

I've visited a shop over the holiday that did something similar. As for me, if my B&M started a policy like this, I would probably find another B&M. Otherwise, my $10 smoke becomes a $20 smoke.
