What an important point. My regular suppliers will either use ziplocs, shrink wrap, or vacuum seal them. Perhaps this is not so critical on a next day or two-day expedited order but for truck delivery of 4-8 days, especially in this weather, it's a detail that provides a little extra peace of mind. In some cases, it can mean the difference between cigars that arrive fresh and ready versus ruined wads of tobacco.

Good question. And yes I have. It's been brought up to them by more than just me and Marc. It simply seems to be something they are not yet sufficiently motivated to do. I just don't understand why. The denizens of cigar fora are not your typical cigar smokesr. We're picky, demanding, and have long memories. If one choses to play in this arena, it makes sense to know your customer and serve their particular needs. Those who do, prosper.

Hello Guys, had a super long weekend and hadn't checked out the posts, sorry for the delay. I can definitely make sure that the boxes you order are sealed in plastic. The only thing you have to do is to request to do so in the "Enter comments, delivery instructions, etc. in the area below: " section at the time of checkout. Only some brands don't come with the plastic seals, here is why we don't automatically do this for the boxes that don't come sealed from the manufacturer:

1-We don't do this usually because we ship our orders via USPS Priority Mail(2-3 days), which is 90% of the time 2 days. I send orders out on Friday to California and the west coast and they arrive on Monday(try that with UPS or Fedex), for $9.95 for up to two boxes of smokes.

2-We don't have many problems with stale, dry or damaged cigars, for the reason stated above and of course, because we keep our cigar inventory at the right temps.

I exactly remember that Mark Twain and Ginseng had a problem with a box of Padilla 1932 that I sent(which I exchanged with a fresh box). The problem was not that it didn't have a plastic wrap, but that the cigars were packaged incorrectly from the manufacturer. Most manufacturers do seal boxes and that is exactly how we ship them.
