Guess number two. You want the characters birthday which I noticed after posting. Gomer Pyle episode "Old Man Carter" aired on 2/26/1965 at which time he was 35 five years old. So if they would have still been producing the show at this time and followed chronologic order, he would would have been 79 years old on 2/26/2009.

p.s. Do I get 18 thousand guesses?

Well the show and the characters were created in 1964 so ill go with a guess of he would be 45

He would have been 79 since GySgt Carter had his 35th birthday when Frank Sutton was 41 and Frank Sutton would have been 85.

Sgt Carter would celebrate his 80th.
In season #1, episode #23, Titled ”Old Man Carter” Broadcast 26 Feb 65 said Carter was born in 1929. Although the premise was he had this 35th birthday in 1965 it was reveled at the end of the show that he was born in 1929 and not 1930 making him 36 and not 35 at that time.

Actually he would celebrate his 80th birthday in 2009.
